This a great and fair review of LT. I've used it since Autodesk first made monthly subscriptions available. I'm a solo freelance designer working only on single-family homes. LT allows me to do 95% of what I need to do for only 20% of the price, and it allows me to get creative in finding solutions to make up for the missing 5%. Sure massing in place would be great, but it doesn't stop me from designing it another way. I can see how larger firms or commercial project could be more challenging, but for those of us doing the grunt work of building homes, Revit LT comes through in a big way.
I’m an Architect from Syria I’m using LT for over a year, it makes you think how to find other smarter and faster ways for modeling and drawings than the tools that not available
Same here bro. Have been running REVIT LT for 6 years now already. Only pain is in-place model which is not available, but i have been building models in sketchup and importing it to REVIT as an alternative.
Please, Please post the video you mentioned showing work arounds for modeling in place! I'm an interior designer and need this all the time for interior details. I also feel limited when downloading families and not being able to edit them to fit the project.
I think you can basically do everything with the wall in place tool like he said and have it marked or commented anyway you need so you can pretend and schedule them like any other category.
Most Revit modeling and site tools are about 15 years obsolete because its geometry engine is an unfixable antique. I'd rather pick among Shapr3D, Plasticity, Rhino, Blender, etc. with native surface models that Revit can't touch and use LT as a container for 2D presentation graphics. Haven't tested yet but datasmith/ Twinmotion should import 3d .obj files from Revit LT.
I currently have the Student Version of Revit with which I run D5 Render. When I switch to Revit LT will I still be able to use D5 Render in Revit LT like I am able to right now?
Ciao Balkan, grazie del video. Ti chiedo come aggirare la mancanza dei filtri e se negli abachi i filtri sono compresi nella versione Revit Lt. Grazie Hello Balkan, thank you for the video. I'm wondering how to get around the lack of filters and whether the filters are included in the schedules in the Revit Lt version. Thanks
Hi and thank you for your Videos . I am starting with Revit LT One of my big Problem is toposolid . Revit LT has Not this Option. I try to cut my house With section this air but really doent work or I don’t know how can I my site to adapte in my project. I See always inside of section all of Level of ground. Can you please Write me or show me some video about that in Revit LT ? Thanks a lot
The fact that it doesnt support PDF exporting and importing is ridiculous. By the way 2024 is even better than previous versions because they added sub element editing for floors. Untill now, that was also missing in LT
@@Josefk82 well, yes, in2014 its Simple as frell, in before version topography doesnt cut with floor (ar anything) and its practicly useless, (we use it as reference for where terrain was before construction), so we started modeling terain with floor tool, but cant add points to floor elelemnt to make it terrain, so i had to sneak into full version my colegue have to model properly terrain and then its done, cant edit unless he is on vacations.
Why mep engineers are fcuked up by Autodesk and is the only one branch who does not have access to any of their tools in Revit LT? Where's the justice? What is the reason of this kind of strange politics? As an engineer and Revit MEP user involved in water and sewage design, I got really piss off...

Exactly. Everyting is somehow possible but LT offers harder way to achive it, since full version have tons of edit options.
I'm self employed in the UK as a Chartered Architectural Technologists and I have used LT for 6 years the full version was just too expensive

Why not just build a family and then import it that way? You can make it parametric too
Very nice and helpful ... please make more videos on Revit LT .... for more possible exploration..... thank you

Can you connect Enscape to it?
I need to find a workflow that allows me to create renderings starting with Revit LT.
Can a REVIT LT file/project work with Twinmotion (eg. export revit file) ?? I assume having a direct link to Twinmotion is not allowed with REVIT LT.
There are solutions to use twinmotion
Hello
On Revit LT there in no (system) that you can draw ventilation systems. How to work with systems on Revit LT please.

please can you do tutorial of AFGRI Head Office - Pretoria, thank you.
Revit LT looks great but I cant find a 2023 or 2024...only 2025. Does revit get rid of the older versions?

Can I convert a car into a 3D model from image
LT is good, still can do a lot of stuff, but... terrain is a pain and just skip that, components in place arent possible at all,
The terrain is passable in both the full and LT versions and has moved a lot since the 2024 version.
