    My last name was Hancock too.
    WM. Hancock died in Key West, Florida on Tuesday, May 29, 1900. ( Over 123 years ago! )
    Hancock buried there in Key West, Fl on Wednesday, May 30. Hancock was 16.. ( 1884 - 1900 )

    Building # 5 the U. S. Marines Hospital was built in 1844 it's still there, now it's condominiums. Also it's no longer just a short boardwalk away from the shoreline, dredging the harbor and using the fill to expand the land mass puts the shoreline a couple hundred yards away.

    Back then photography was established but air planes was not. The only conceivable option is a air balloon to get this map done.
