We all have a past. I myself used to do shirk as a Sufi. Now I speak against it online and offline.

Brother Shamsi, thank you for your honesty and transparency with regards to your journey in coming back to the deen. It's so easy to look at people who are practising and forget that they also had struggles and weaknesses before coming to the truth and becoming upright. I'm not sure if you understand the huge impact this has on those who are struggling or feeling weak but want to practise. Please don't stop doing what you're doing and sharing parts of your journey as there are so many young brothers and sisters who are in the same predicament. May Allah write it in your book of good deeds and reward greatly you for all your efforts.

The way the people started to gather when he speaks about his past experiences and then some turn around to walk away just when he mentions about Islam amazes me. He speaks calmly and truthfully so people started to take interest, but they wouldn't accept that these peaceful testimonies is about the way Islam has changed somebody's life. Mashaallah

Fantasy? Well, Death is reality I guess not a fantasy.. and many intellectual ppl do use their brains and eyes ( I guess these parts were created by themselves just like different finger prints and the sky and all the creations just a coincidence I guess!) what is a fantasy and what is reality? You’ll have to search, ponder and read before assuming you know it all.. maybe you are the one living in a prison you created for yourself.. wish you are happy there till your limited moments finish and you get to discover what is real and what is a fantasy… Go and watch what kind of ppl revert to Islam.. and the thorough search they conduct before reverting… It is a tile where you really should be able to differentiate between reality and materialism… the media missed up ppls’ minds.
Just go and read Quraan at least as a start and you’ll get to feel what the (real) reality is.

I've always loved Shamsi style of Tableeghi dawah. Very effective, talk about the greatness of Allah, relationship with the creation, no philosophy, no fancy words and just just straight to the point
