In this project, I have controlled the 220v 9 watt LED lamp by using the motion sensor switch. The motion sensor circuit automatically turns on and off the toilet light if someone enters and exit the toilet. The circuit is similar to the pir sensor. Here I have used a CD4017 ic and IR module to design the motion sensor circuit.
After watching the complete video anybody can design the circuit but for the daily use, I will suggest to make the circuit on PCB which I will show in my upcoming video.
This project is also part of DIY Home Automation as the motion sensor switch saves the electrical energy as it turns off the light automatically when it not required.

HELP: can i take out the relay and instead of the small led use a 555 timer astable which in turn will turn on led and buzzer when the IR pair is triggered? what changes in Vsupply should i make and other changes? this is for a small replica of a project where when a person enters a room the ir will trigger the 555 timer which in turn will turn on buzzer and red led using rectangular pulse signal from the 555 timer.

And u didn't mention abt 5V DC power supply in d description but u have used it.wr to connect n how to connect the 9 v battery?
For this circuit you can use either 9volt battery or 5Volt adapter.
On version 2, you should make 2 sensors. One on the inside and one outside the door. You can use 2 to detect whether a person is entering or leaving the room. Suppose a 2nd person enters. You don't want it to shut off the light, but remember there are now 2 people in. And dont turn off the light until the people in the room is 0.

@@nibzlegend99 in practice, I wouldn't. I'd buy a motion sensor light switch.
But for the coding exercise, I'd have a sensor on the outer wall and the inner wall detecting motion in the doorway. This allows the system to tell the direction of movement... in or out.
IN detection increments a counter. OUT decriments the counter. If counter > 0, light should be on.

Sir i have already made the IR sensor module but the it does not work. When the IR module detects the motion the sensor switch don't have a response
First check wheather the IR module is working by connection a led at the output of IR module. If the IR module is ok, then check for any loose connection and worng polarity.

If the LED is not turning on please check for any loose connection and wrong polarity. Also, adjust the IR detector.

I have used active high IR sensor. If you use active low IR module then changes required.
