Paul posted his video of this performance a while back, and ever since I've been waiting for the "pro" version -- and this one doesn't disappoint! What's surprising to me here is not Andrea, Joe or Scott, because I've gotten to the point where I expect them to be excellent every time. But I thought Jan Domenech really outdid himself here, and the whole band seemed to have stepped up their game a notch. Very nice, please keep them coming!

Well, the whole performance once again was top-notch, as we are used to hear when the production is by the maestro Joan Chamorro. 😊 But today the special award goes to the very talented and modest Jan Domenech for his spiritual job behind the piano. 😁
Agree. I'm getting to enjoy Jan's playing more and more. So subtle and moving somehow. The timing, or maybe the notes he doesn't play, I don't know, but I find it quite emotional at times.

Absolutely brilliant ,not much else you can say about a great classic, Andrea at her best .
The good taste, the extraordinary talent, the pulse, the tightness, the soloists with Ms Andrea leading, put this recording at the very top many recordings of this song

Absolutely loved the piano solo, ......and I'm a trumpet player. His improvisation was very melodic throughout with a wonderful conclusion to flow back into the group. The young lady sang strong and with confidence! Great job on a wonderful arrangement! Howdy, from Austin Texas.

Andrea has been doing that all these years. Other trumpeter/vocalists do the same thing too. Alba Armengou, for example.

It is necessary to come back to this one every so often. Andrea and Jan are really into this great song. And the band-----they are obviously into it as well. This genre is right down the alley for Joe and Scott, it's obvious. The song comes from a great scene in the movie as well. Very enjoyable!!!!

Solos: Were all SUPERB!!! This song needed solos to stay attached to the melody and they were all beautifully and cheerfully -With It! Perfect - "Delightful"
Andrea: This song an absolutely perfect fit for her voice. Just a bit husky in the low notes and and clarity in the high notes - Superb and Cheerful and Andrea is "Delightful and Delovely!!"

Besides the excellent music, another thing that I love about the Chamorro performances is the
production values. Plenty of microphones with very good mixing, and lots of cameras (though you can never spot one) and very good video editing. Always fine productions!

It's amazing----Everyone is smiling!!! Great to see Scott, who is old enough to be a part of where this tune comes from, grinning from ear to ear as Andrea belts it out. Jan is smiling. Andrea and Jan hand clasp at the end. Joe and Scott congratulating each other. As usual, Joan totally into the music and leading the way. Elia's violin in the intro. All just outstanding. Cole Porter lives. Thanks to everyone in the band for this treat. Don't stop!!!

Have been a fan of Joan's "kids" for a long time, and I think this video is my all-time favorite. The musicianship all-around is wonderful. The joy is palpable. A gift. (Cole Porter gets a little credit too :>), and Joan Monne's arrangement is perfect.) Almost forgot...Joe, Scott, Jan and Andrea, also perfect!
Oh man! I have always loved this tune! Great vocal from Andrea, wonderful trumpet solo from Joe Magnarelli, and a smooth tenor solo from Scott Hamilton. Wonderful arrangement, and the rest of the players are de-lovely!

I am wondering if Andrea is aware of the history of this song ? That it was composed by cole porter. What broadway play it is from. And so forth. I am not saying that she is not - i just do not know.
