Please keep in mind that I used the 1-Step gel as a base gel in this process and mostly built the nail with the glitter gel and reinforced that effort with the clear "Extreme" gel. Light elegance color and glitter HARD gels can be considered a layer of strength in your enhancement process unlike we techs usually do with most strongly pigmented colored and glitter acrylics in reference to building an enhancement. I agree totally about gel vs acrylic. I'm not a nail tech, but I do a lot of research & purchase my own products for my gal to use and find that I get such better shine when the glitters are encapsulated in hard gel vs acrylic. It's definitely more satisfying to look at for a longer period of time. I've been getting my nail artist to do it more instead of encapsulating with clear acrylic. Thanks for the video! 😉 💅

Hi Tabytha thanks for sharing! I also love builder and hard gels and this Diamond is the only Light Elegance gel I have and it is stunning. Question: how do you remove these overlays without damaging/filing down to the natural nail? Is that why you did a slip layer so you only file to that? Xx

You mentioned, about that thumb, you have a flair out on the edge (under the nail) well I have the same issue and I wonder if you too have had trouble building extensions on that type of nail (using a form)
I tried pushing back the underside-growth and it just doesn’t want to...and it’s problematic.
First it was really difficult to get a form to fit right and once I (kind of) managed that,
the “problem-edge” tore easily about a day later. I have pretty healthy & strong nails but this one finger is a problem child. Have you had this issue at all? If you have the time I’d love to know how you recommend combatting this.

Speaking on the when gel polish pulls away from the nail. I thought that I was the only person who that happens to. I will try applying the bonder maybe right after the base coat. Thank you for that idea. I realize that that's not exactly what you did. But I was thinking that this might work🤓

Hi Tabytha, I recently discovered Light Elegance and e-file bits by Atwood. I came across your channel because I've been looking for people who use Atwood bits, and here I am! 😁Here in the UK we now have suppliers for both, so I'm very happy! I was wondering, with the Z-carbide thin cone bit, is it good for hard gel enhancements, or just acrylic? I only use gel, and was thinking it might be good for doing fills - getting rid of lifting, also thinning the free edge. What do you use it for most? Thanks! I’ve been wondering about the difference between the gel bottle and light elegance. More for the purpose of extensions. I’m no expert at gel (LOL) but I felt the long extensions I built with the gel bottle had a lot of flex. Wondering if light elegance would feel less flexible for longer extensions 🤔. Thoughts?

They're all hard gels, just different viscosities/strengths for different purposes. So to answer your question, 1-Step is not a soak off gel.

During checkout just say ur a student and put in a local college/nail school name. They don't check. It'll work, that's how I did it before I got my license.

I believe there are other 3rd party sites that may have this product but you'd have to research it. A lot of companies keep it like that so that the market isn't diluted, it protects the nail techs in regards to job security and consistency with price points.
