Got one 6 years ago and at 4 years started to leak from the combustion chamber. Luckily it eas under warranty and got it replaced with a new one. So got the new 2 years ago and now same problem. It's leaking again from the combustion chamber and I hope the warranty covers it because its only 2 years old, but now they tell they don't make this gas/solar model. Not built vey good if its the second one gone bad in 6years.

This is a warning not to buy HTP products. We purchased 2 HTP Phoenix on demand water heaters for our business. We paid over $15,000 for them. At 2 years in we had to replace the blower on one of the units. Now at 5 years one of the units has a water leak from the tank into the combustion chamber. They are telling me it's a throw away and I will have to buy another water heater. So for $7500.00 it lasted all of 5 years and it's now a paperweight. What a pile of trash. The other one I'm sure is working on borrowed time. The company position is they will not replace it or even give us a deep discount on a new one. It's not how they do business they say. So taking care of customers is not how they do business. I have another brand of water heater at my other store going on 20 years. Buyer beware.
