Luna is great, but nothing captures Sol. Sol captures the golden hour just when the fire is lit on the beach, when the hot and is just barely beginning to cool off, bikinis and swimsuits are just starting to completely dry, the sun is just about to set, and first few lights are turning on somewhere in the distance, seagulls are teasing and testing some fisherman far away, and then that Alef Sol beat comes on and people slowly begin to get up, and move rhythmically, unforced, naturally, to the mesmerizing slow beat, not too wild, not too bored, with the energy just right, whilst holding onto a corona or stella beer with a lime, smiles and quick glances are sending the nodding message that the moment is fervent with a good joyous mood, it's the slow long frozen in time instances when that burning flutter flirt is starting, and in the distance the barman is cleaning up the beach bar, others are smiling what finishing off the last ice cream, and no conversation is taking place, but all the mood of the hour is implied and understood by everyone as being soft, safe, pleasant among good friends. That alef sol song captures the essence of Greek summer. This Luna is good, but not so much that you can listen to it forever on loop. Doesn't move me.
