The Mac Glow Play blushes are UNBELIEVABLE right now. So perfect, soft texture cream blushes. Kinda like the colourpop "supershock" texture blushes but so much smoother and softer. My favourite colour is So Natural and they are not a product to be overlooked rn if you're into that kind of a blush texture.
The original Chocolate Bar palette was my first luxury makeup item and my first eyeshadow palette. I haven't used it in over three years because I also lost interest in it, but I recently picked it back up about a week ago and it may be just nostalgia but I still managed to get some looks I liked out of it.
Love you so much btw!!! I have the same Mac "hard pan" issues - on my Selena Vol. 1 bronzer duo, Cinderella and Trolls highlighters, etc. My best fix is to scrape at them until you get a fine powder. Or crush up the highlighters and mix with body oil or sunscreen - best glow EVAH!!!!
I think people stopped using MAC because of the trend towards “cruelty free” makeup. I think once they become certified cruelty free, their popularity will go up again.

The absolute product I fell out of love with was benefit’s porefessional primer, it was my very first “expensive” primer when I was like 20 or 21 and I absolutely adored it. But now at 27 I just don’t anymore, I rather more a hydrated dewy look than a Matte one. My skin has always been dry, I don’t know why I loved it so much hahaha 😂
The Too Faced Chocolate Bar... I bought in feb 2016. I never really liked it until spring 2019! Now it’s my favorite neutral palette ever. The tones are the perfect neutral. I can wear this palette with or without foundation, to the gym, everyday, or to get glam, it went from a palette I didn’t care for to number 1! (Number 1, but tied for #1 with the Sweet Prach Palette. Yes, after all these years, those two are still my favorites!!!!!
You should do a video reusing some of these products and see how you feel about them!!! Like do a full face of makeup you forgot about/don’t care for anymore xxx
Would totally love to see not only a part II to this video, but also looks with each eyeshadow palette that you showed here. You could film it and piece it together over many days, of course, whatever works with your schedule; but it'd be really cool to see you do unique looks with each individual eyeshadow palette and really determine whether they do not inspire you anymore by making you do something maybe you wouldn't normally do with them like the TF Clover eyeshadow palette or the JaclynHill one etc...even if you don't do it with this specific pallette group, I think in general would be a very interesting thing for your channel considering that I don't think you've done something like that? Like some beauty RUclipsrs do a 1 eyeshadow palette 2 looks video; you could do like a 5 eyeshadow palettes look in one video or something 😉🙂
I remember when Mac was the be all end all. One of my favorite female lead singers wore Mac exclusively. I worked the door at various clubs in Chicago (goth, industrial, EBM, dark wave, etc) for club nights hosted by American Gothic Productions. I never could afford Mac products back then. When I was out of the scene and eventually could afford it, I wasn’t interested in the brand as much because I had so many other choices. It’s funny how trends change and what brands fall to the side. Great video!

I think everyone is just into new products and these older products are forgotten. I feel like they all need to come back. Maybe these need to be reviewed again. Most of these old products are hidden gems! But I know what you mean...sometimes when I use some items over and over again I tend to lose my love for them too.

I just pulled out the origins primer a couple of weeks ago. And I like it even more than when I first got it. I can definitely notice my makeup lasting longer and not breaking down😊

Hi Liora!! I am totally with you on the MAC situation. I used to be in love with MAC also, now I am not excited or obsessed with MAC anymore. I don't jump on their stuff anymore. It reminds me of the Tarte Lights camera lashes mascara, its the same shades in different packaging, very gimmicky. Not into that!
Love your look! Can you share some of your favorite skincare items for a skincare routine for those with dry skin? I know you've tested a ton of cleansers and moisturizers. Hi, Liora, I think MAC just overwhelms us with too many limited edition launches. MAC creates FOMO anxiety, and I am so tired of it that I just refuse to buy any MAC limited edition product. I truly enjoy lines that improve their products or market a very few limited edition products for the change of seasons and holiday, but am turned off by the bam-bam-bam buying frenzies of limited edition collection launches. I used to use this silver victorias secret glitter eyeliner and then they discontinued it. Eventually I found a Mac dupe for it and i used to be obsessed with it but now I haven’t used it for years!

At this point all the products I'm no longer excited to use or are older go my makeup bag at my parents house, it's literally a makeup retirement home over there 😂. I agree the Chocolate bar palette did not age well at all, I bought mine in 2015 and when I pulled it out a few months ago to try it, it had no pigment because formula had changed. Same with Natural Eyes palette, it seems their shadows really don't last long in terms of quality. Born to Run I rarely use, I bought it because everyone was raving about it but I've never thought it was amazing, it's also more of a fall winter palette I find. Anyway it makes us realize that we should think a little more about just how much use we'll get out of yet another palette.
I did get rid of some palettes this weekend probably about 6 too faced eyeshadow palettes and an urban decay palette. I just let them go. They were old. I had memories of them. I love too faced eyeshadow and I love how they include the little pictures of ways to do eyeshadow. They're great for people who are beginning. Lol my thought process was eyeshadow palettes will always come out you have so many anyway let these go.
MAC was the first mid range makeup that I could start collecting. I would buy Lancôme and Chanel occasionally (they had polishes; Mac didn’t- I remember having to repurchase Chanel vamp polish several times cuz no one else was making that blood-red color) I had to go into Atlanta (I live in the outskirts) passing 2 malls to go to the Mac store. Loved their pressed powder compact also. I still have 5 or 6 of their lipsticks that they don’t make anymore that are so pretty. I’ll never give up on them because they were sorta my first!!! So please don’t get rid of those babies!!! I’ll take ‘em! Maybe it’s some of the colors I miss with my whole heart!!💜🌈🧡🍭💄💋

This is why with perfumes now I only buy the travel spray size. That’s more then enough for me because I found myself spending all that money on one bottle and stop wearing it. Now when I buy the travel size I go through them and I’ll buy it again if I really love so that way I don’t feel like I’m really wasting money

I think the last time was Christmas Eve and idk the time before that. I think maybe a part of me feels like I'm too old for them but they're pretty to look at.

Just wanted to say I went to TJ yesterday, and the makeup was sorta weak.. not much there. The skincare was MUCH better! I bought some stuff from Korres, Derma-E, and Formula 10.0.6!! :)
I had purchased the newer Jaclyn Hill X morphe palette vol. 2. Unfortunately after using it only 3 or 4 x I found the shimmer shades had hard pan. It really disappointed me. The matted are very pigmented & seem fine. I never did purchase the original JH palette & I was planning to but after my experience with vol.2 & finding out they changed her original OG formula I decide against it. which stinks because I like her stuff. Her morphs brushes are my favorites. Her highlighters are gorgeous. I wish she'd do a completely brand new palette. Idk. You look so nice in Burberry. Your eyes match the shawl. And I've said before, I'll continue to say you my dear Can wear any color ever, on your eyes and you look so,so look beautiful. I love the way you do your makeup.

Hi Liora!! I am totally with you on the MAC situation. I used to be in love with MAC also, now I am not excited or obsessed with MAC anymore. I don't jump on their stuff anymore. It reminds me of the Tarte Lights camera lashes mascara, its the same shades in different packaging, very gimmicky. Not into that!

Love your look! Can you share some of your favorite skincare items for a skincare routine for those with dry skin? I know you've tested a ton of cleansers and moisturizers. I seem to always purchase something different and my current fave is tatcha the deep cleanse but i feel like it leaves my skin a bit dry. Thank you ❤

Hi, Liora, I think MAC just overwhelms us with too many limited edition launches. MAC creates FOMO anxiety, and I am so tired of it that I just refuse to buy any MAC limited edition product. I truly enjoy lines that improve their products or market a very few limited edition products for the change of seasons and holiday, but am turned off by the bam-bam-bam buying frenzies of limited edition collection launches. I used to use this silver victorias secret glitter eyeliner and then they discontinued it. Eventually I found a Mac dupe for it and i used to be obsessed with it but now I haven’t used it for years!

At this point all the products I'm no longer excited to use or are older go my makeup bag at my parents house, it's literally a makeup retirement home over there 😂. I agree the Chocolate bar palette did not age well at all, I bought mine in 2015 and when I pulled it out a few months ago to try it, it had no pigment because formula had changed. Same with Natural Eyes palette, it seems their shadows really don't last long in terms of quality. Born to Run I rarely use, I bought it because everyone was raving about it but I've never thought it was amazing, it's also more of a fall winter palette I find. Anyway it makes us realize that we should think a little more about just how much use we'll get out of yet another palette.
I did get rid of some palettes this weekend probably about 6 too faced eyeshadow palettes and an urban decay palette. I just let them go. They were old. I had memories of them. I love too faced eyeshadow and I love how they include the little pictures of ways to do eyeshadow. They're great for people who are beginning. Lol my thought process was eyeshadow palettes will always come out you have so many anyway let these go.

MAC was the first mid range makeup that I could start collecting. I would buy Lancôme and Chanel occasionally (they had polishes; Mac didn’t- I remember having to repurchase Chanel vamp polish several times cuz no one else was making that blood-red color) I had to go into Atlanta (I live in the outskirts) passing 2 malls to go to the Mac store. Loved their pressed powder compact also. I still have 5 or 6 of their lipsticks that they don’t make anymore that are so pretty. I’ll never give up on them because they were sorta my first!!! So please don’t get rid of those babies!!! I’ll take ‘em! Maybe it’s some of the colors I miss with my whole heart!!💜🌈🧡🍭💄💋

This is why with perfumes now I only buy the travel spray size. That’s more then enough for me because I found myself spending all that money on one bottle and stop wearing it. Now when I buy the travel size I go through them and I’ll buy it again if I really love so that way I don’t feel like I’m really wasting money

Benefit boing concealer. Was one of the first expensive products I bought. The “original” one. I remember the shade 01 was too light... 02 too dark... My Stila Glitter and Glow eyeshadows are something I have fallen out of love with. I have a ton of them. I was collecting them all for a while but I never reach for them anymore. I think the last time was Christmas Eve and idk the time before that. I think maybe a part of me feels like I'm too old for them but they're pretty to look at.
I feel the same way about the Stila Glitter and Glows. Plus, they dry out so quickly.
I had clothes that reminded me of bad times and got rid of them...I suggest you do the same with the makeup

Just wanted to say I went to TJ yesterday, and the makeup was sorta weak.. not much there. The skincare was MUCH better! I bought some stuff from Korres, Derma-E, and Formula 10.0.6!! :)

I had purchased the newer Jaclyn Hill X morphe palette vol. 2.
Unfortunately after using it only 3 or 4 x I found the shimmer shades had hard pan. It really disappointed me. The matted are very pigmented & seem fine. I never did purchase the original JH palette & I was planning to but after my experience with vol.2 & finding out they changed her original OG formula I decide against it. which stinks because I like her stuff. Her morphs brushes are my favorites. Her highlighters are gorgeous. I wish she'd do a completely brand new palette. Idk.
