Might as well call this Chopin's 5th Ballade. What a magnificent piece it is! And I heard Garrick Ohlsson say in an interview (Tonebase) that it's his favorite Chopin work. If only it weren't so difficult to play--or even read through all those accidental-ridden thickets of chords! This is a "bucket list" piece for me though. I doubt I'll ever be able to play the Barcarolle well enough to play in public, but I think it's time for me to make an honest effort to learn it. The universe of Chopin encapsulated so beautifully in this masterpiece!

Wonderful! I have always appreciated Blechacz's sparing use of the pedal (so rare nowadays), which results in a pleasing, Rubinsteinesque clarity.
Isn't this score the Polish Nation Edition? Are you even allowed to post this score online? LMAO
It was on IMSLP. I'll take it down if there are copyright issues. But I'm not making any profit from this channel, at all.
Urtext editions copyright only lasts 25 years, so the old Polish National edition (1992) is fine
