The AQI report with handful of cities and calling " In the world" is misleading . Also , The winter season will show how Calcutta fares in Pollution . Hotel , Restaurants , Clubs , Bars are opening at good pace in Cities of West Bengal . Hospitality & Poorly regulated (HIRA) Real Estate is keeping West Bengal/Kolkata economy afloat by increasing the size of low end service sector . As these areas involve a lot of unaccounted (Bl a ck Money) hence poor Tax collection as compared to Size of Hospitality / Real Estate Industry in Bengal . Loose regulation is helping the GDP numbers not the employment & income scenario at ground here . You either have money to incentivise industries or you are poor & keep regulations too loose to gather some money . Also , Kolkata International Airport is the lone International airport in 400 Km Radius around it which helped it to cater to needs of people over a large area unlike other megacities . Also its a Lone Airport in 200 Km radius around it . The eastern states never posed any serious challenge to kolkata .

Last year I believe our honorable CM had a meeting with their big guns in Madrid and there our state government had promised them to provide 1000 acres of Land somewhere in South Bengal. So do you have any updates please?
@@anandashekhar9908 Zara , H&M dont manufacture on their own . They partner with third party bulk manufactures in contracts . Bangalore in India produces Luxury Clothings of Zara through other partnering manufacturing entities. This helps these Brands to cut high cost on wages & Complainces . That Zara Investment " Interest " was a "managed formality" .

In fact I clearly remember that there was no official confirmation from Zara's X handler about this investment at all. So again it's a matter of disappointment in terms of investment in Bengal.

Zara was supposed to start its production from Dec 2023, but as of now, we have no latest update.
