Wow! What a great call by the Texas defensive coordinator on the corner blitz. That corner just has to make the play. That’s the difference between eating steak and sandwiches right there. Good game.

That was the play of the game imo. Had Young set up perfectly and choked on the tackle. Not only that but he pretty much took out his teammate blitzing from the opposite side as well.

Ga got 2 many weapons on offense & defense......when u got a experience quarterback with Bennett and the number 1 tight end in Collegiate ....I like Bryce Young but his inexperience show today with not going through his progression on a couple plays that will handicap him against a top tier component not to say that Texas wasn't.....Good game overall
Texas missed a big tackle at the end, a dropped INT early that would have put them in FG range and really just a ton of other mistakes. The also were unlucky on the safety play and losing their starting QB and the missed PI in the first that would have set them up great for a chance at a TD, but simply said they let this one slip away. Still even though it was a loss, I think Texas proved a lot and probably should be ranked next week. I think Alabama should lose that number 1 ranking too. Not that it really matters this early in the season.
Game came down to a last second FG by Bama. Texas had their backup Qb with a bad ankle nearly the whole game. The fact it was this close says a lot about Bama. Specifically, it's a joke they are ranked above Georgia.

The refs blew this game for Texas. Face mask non call near the goal line would have given Texas a first down not 3rd down
yep, Robinson might have even scored on that play without the facemask..at worst its first and goal...I texted my brother when that played happened and said that that no call might decide the game.

His play calling and game day adjustments were horrible today against Alabama. He coaches not to lose when he should be coaching to win. His defensive and offensive play calling was horrible in the second half. He is just not a good head coach. He doesn't play to win. What a shame. Because this Texas team is good. But they lack heart and motivation. And don't show up when the chip is on the table like Alabama. That is a coaching issue. That comes from the Head Coach. I do agree Oklahoma will be very good. Texas is done. They will never be winners with Sarkesian. I do agree the NCAA Refs were horrible and missed so many calls against Alabama. Just disgraceful. But either way Texas as usual can't close the deal. Just pathetic.
Texas in the SEC finna be lit. That atmosphere is crazy & you can tell the program is up for the challenge. They have a real sense of pride.

When Missouri and A&M went to the SEC they were at the tops of their division! But when they left the Big12 they were at the very bottom with Kansas! Bama barely beat a team that was 5-7 last year and playing with a backup qb. 😳 what is that to say about bama? Are they REALLY that good or is texas really great playing in an even greater conference 🤔 🙄. Just something to think about

Sarkisian had a great game plane against Alabama . He knows how to beat Alabaman and had a good blue print . This was a great game by both QB’s and Bryce Young showed why he is the reigning Heisman Winner.
I disagree about Bryce Young. His passing was sub-par and he only had one or two QB runs. The Bama receivers dropped balls and the “great” Will Anderson had four penalties against him. Bama looked like dog food.
Bryce didn’t do shit for 3 quarters and got bailed out by the refs.

Ewers getting hurt on that dirty hit completely changed this game. With the way their defense was playing, Texas would've won if Ewers didn't get knocked out of the game. Texas deserves a top 10 ranking after this L. Bama needs to drop. UGA is the clear number 1.

What a heartbreaking loss for TX. Longhorns honestly got robbed. It sure looks like those refs had some nasty parting gifts for TX as they leave the Big 12 or something. Some of the worst calls of any game ever. Still proud that TX stood tall and went toe to toe with Bama and held them to 20 points. What a performance. Should have been a win.

Point spread was 21.5, Alabama didn't cover the spread, They didn't even score as many s the spread.
A gritty one, still a win is a win. Bama's defense committed way too many penalties plus Ewers injury really hampered Texas's offense, hope it's not too bad and pray for his speedy recovery.

After attending this game, this had to be the loudest stadium we have been to. As a proud Alum of The University of Alabama, this game was probably the best I have seen in person. Still to this day, this game makes me anxious. Thank you to Texas for being a good host.

As soon as it happened I grimaced. It's the colt McCoy situation all over again.
As an Alabama fan this game reminds me so much of the 2003 #1 Oklahoma at Alabama game. That was before Alabama was considered the king of college football. It was just another game to #1 Oklahoma but to Alabama it was the Super Bowl. Alabama played with heart and determination, keeping the game neck and neck all the way to the late 4th quarter until Oklahoma finally put them away and won. It was a loss, but at the time it was considered to be a moral victory to the Alabama football program just to be able to keep the game close. My how things have changed since those days. But my point is that Texas is a program on the rise. They’ve got that same fire, that same determination and hype to return to their glory days. They’ve earned my respect.
Bama Got away with the safety where Young’s shin was actually down and he was just throwing it away which would’ve been intentional grounding if it didn’t hit the UT defender’s helmet.

I guess. They had so many chances to put the game away, and they blew every single one of them. So frustrating, because you could just see how this game was gonna turn out. Doesn't matter how you play, if you have ALABAMA by the throat even once, you gotta finish the job. And UT had them by the throat again and again and again.

@Robert Jeffers UT should have won the majority of their games last year. They were young and played very undisciplined especially in the second half. This year's team is still young but much more disciplined and will only get better with time. Recruiting
is going to be phenomenal going forward.
When I saw the missed fg I said "RIGGED!!" Seemed as Alabama kept fckn up, Texas would drive drive drive only to then get a sack etc. Idk. It just seemed Bama isn't allowed to lose and no matter what by any means they made sure they didn't get a mark on perfect record
Texas definitely ranked too low. They should be top 10 by the end of the season.
Alabama is still the Alabama from last season not as good as they appear and maybe even worse. We won't know until the Arkansas game how good Bama really is.
Little bit of both. But Texas has not given the pollsters a reason to rank them really either. Alabama won’t stay at 1. Georgia looks better probably and OSU while they struggled in offense against Notre Dame, their defense has been okay. So, doubt Bama stays at 1 because of UGA.

Called it last year and I'm calling it again we are "not" winning a chip this year. O line is average and defense is below that we have zero dogs on this team and Young is one hit away from being out for the season. Sabin and the entire staff have gotten complacent and it showed today with all of the stupid penalties only a team with no fear does that.

It's very early. Yes, Alabama did not look good today. But it is very early in the season and I have no doubt "Bama fixes some of these issues. Also, the young receiving corps is going to be much better near the end of the season. 'Bama is still very dangerous.

I have little confidence in Bryce Young he won the Heisman because he plays for Bama if he played for Central Michigan he wouldn't even be in the news he holds on to the ball too long and is one hit from being toast for the season. I think that Texas played very well, something that really annoys me is that the second Texas tied that game 10-10 Alabama started playing dirty. The refs did call penalties on Alabama but they could tripled the amount of times they called Alabama. It just sucks that the refs are hardly ever fair to Texas in college and the NFL.
