Hey Zack, I live in the UK. Married to a British girl. We just came back after 6 weeks in El Salvador. My very British in laws went there for the first time ever and they were shocked at how safe, diverse, beautiful and fun the country is. Before the trip they made it look as this was a one off trip but now they are planning a come back on their own 🤣 but also doing a road trip around Central America. Strongly recommend you to go there. At least two weeks, you'll still feel as if you missed so many things but that's the magic. These videos are great but still is never the same as you living it yourself. Genuine people with genuine hearts.
Hope you get to hit that Wild Turkey in San Miguel. That's where my boys and I watched the Super Bowl last year right at the bar. I'll be arriving with my fam tomorrow afternoon. Hi! Just a little note When they say “ Fresco” at a restaurant they are offering a drink- “ Fresco” for us is fruit water- like melon, Tamarindo, arrayan- They don’t mean that the food is fresh 😆. It probably is though, but the fresco is about the drink not the freshness of the food. I am enjoying your vids- you are a cool cat and your videos are good for salvadorean kids that have been born abroad and your style they can relate to.

Or a fresh day or temperature. “ Que día tan fresco” “ el clima está fresco” “ que fresca la brisa” Saludos desde Brisbane Australia- made in San Salvador .

When you say hello and they dont answer back is not because they are rude dont you ever take it personally they're just shy and the language is an obstacle that why they just sometimes ignores you . But they are nice people

When they say “ Fresco” at a restaurant they are offering a drink- “ Fresco” for us is fruit water- like melon, Tamarindo, arrayan-
They don’t mean that the food is fresh 😆.
It probably is though, but the fresco is about the drink not the freshness of the food.

We would most commonly say “ la comida esta recién hecha?”
Recién meaning “newly”
Hecha “ made “
“Newly made”
Fresco would either be for the drink- fresco de horchata (which you loved lol) Fresco de Tamarindo.
Or a fresh day or temperature.
“ Que día tan fresco”
“ el clima está fresco”
“ que fresca la brisa”
