- Katie Puckrik smells Baiser Volé by Cartier. Baiser Volé means "Stolen Kiss" in French. This beautiful lily perfume is created by Mathilde Laurent, who composed Guerlain Attrape Coeur and Cartier L'Heure Promise, two of my especial favorites.

Katie!!! I miss your reviews SO MUCH! Are you ever going to grace RUclips with your entertaining and informative reviews again?
Baiser Volé is really in a class of its own: minimalist but not "natural," soft but not powdery, innocent but not sweet, and neither vintage nor futuristic. It defies categorization without trying to. I bought the EDT three days ago and can already say it's a top contender for my signature spring fragrance. It's sitting right next to my favorite lillies - Gucci Envy, Estée Lauder Sensuous, Happ and Stahns 1922 Lily Sanguine, and Editions de Parfums Lys Mediterranée. (Boys will like it too.)
I've been sampling this scent for the last few days and say this-- It's the most perfect recreation of a lily I've ever found (not lily of the valley, different flower). It does not smell at all like shampoo but is very powdery and fresh with a light sweetness. The eau de parfum concentration lasts up to 24 hours- I still smell the small amount I put on my wrist yesterday afternoon. If you've ever smelled a "Stargazer" oriental lily, this is it.
I love the way this perfume smells and I get many compliments from both men and women. One of the best I've worn.
Katie, OMG, the shampoo mention. This is why I cannot get enough of this because I am in a nostalgia phase. I never go for these straight-up florals but have been obsessed with this, and bottle doesn't help me resist.
I love your reviews please continue to do videos, no one speaks of fragrances with your vocabulary know how and charm.
I don't understand how people feel some old lady smell on this perfume it's dry out gorgeous on my skin. I love Cartier Baiser vole 😍
Katie I was so happy to hear from one of your viewers that you had also reviewed this! And we said some of the same things ,I felt so good because that means I'm growing in perfume reviews if we agree if only a little . You rock! :)))
So it was! Thanks for spotting.
Eau Dynamisante is an old favorite of mine. So glad you're enjoying KP Smells.
I think this is beautiful, and just exactly as you described. When I heard "GYHST" , I knew I had to have it. I was not in the least dissapointed, I think I need a backup bottle or two !
Miss you, Katie! I hope you’ve tried L’Envol edt. I’ve always loved Mathilde’s men’s releases, but that fragrance cemented her in my mind as a true genius.
Hi Katie, nice to see a Cartier review. Although I have been wearing Clarins Eau Dynamisante for almost twenty years I have recently on and off been wearing Cartier Declaration, which is actually a men's perfume I believe. The way you describe scent has made me so much more aware of perfume and scents in general. Thank you for that, all the best from Holland, Muriel
I totally agree with your assessment! It is my current favorite. My friend hugged me and said "Man, you smell great! Like a garden!" it is my go to scent for this spring.
I think you have one of the most eclectic collections I've heard of - so interesting! (And thanks for buying from my Fume Finder app!) White Suede is my fave from the Tom Ford musk collection.
With Baiser Vole I get in the dry down a vibe of Shower to Shower body powder...the one with baking soda in it. Which smelled fresh but always tickled my throat and made me cough. My mom used it after having surgery because the doctors insisted no deodorants. Lucky for me the lily note lasts and lasts on my skin with no coughing!
Yeah, I fell for the Vermont Country Store version, too. I think it's been remade for an overseas market and the only thing similar is the bottle.
Mine are all in a dark cupboard in my front hallway, which happens to be the coolest part of my home. Some people I know buy little mini-bar sized wine refrigerators to store their perfumes. The main thing is to keep the bottles away from light and heat, which degrades them.
You can also have the exact smell of Chanel No. 22 by buying Chanel No. 22! It's not discontinued, it's just moved to Chanel's Les Exclusives range and is available at Chanel boutiques, selected dept stores and online from Chanel. Your wife will REALLY love you this Christmas!
I wear this and love it. It is very strong, so I use it sparingly. I find that the fragrance is long lasting.
haha, haven't thought of "Shower to Shower" for years!
Yessss, I m first!!!! Thank you Katie... Love your vids!
Great review! I love the way u describe it.
Have you tried Donna Karan Signature? That is a deep and interesting lily. More of a composition than a straight-ahead lily.
Awesome, I will look into these. Thank you Katie, as always!! ;)
I think the brightness/soapiness in this one renders it more feminine. Some interesting lilies that work great for men are Donna Karan Signature and Frédéric Malle Lys Méditerranée.
I'll look into it.
Right now I'm obsessed with Aromatics Elixir by Clinique. I've worn it every day for a week, which is a new kind of record for me, since I usually wear something different every day.
so animated. love the way you describe it
I've not done a side-by-side with Petite Cherie edp and edt, but the word on the street is that the edt turns quickly (within a year) and the edp's smell stays intact, and that it's richer/fuller than the edt. I'm like you: I'm more interested in quality than quantity. If it's not the scent you really want, how does it help you to have an even bigger bottle of it?
I adore BV to bits!! I had two sample vials of this and went right through them in two weeks, so I think its time to invest. I agree, it is floral to the max, but BV is just that kind of lady!! Fine by me!
That bottle is amazing!
great as always. Would love to see a naughty/cheeky alice review!
Speaking of lilies, have you tried the Van Cleef & Arpels Lys Carmin? That's one narcotic lily for you. Mindblowing!
I'll get on it.
Hi Katie, wonderful review!
I think I'm becoming quite the fume-head as well.
But I have a question, how do you store your perfumes?
Thanks for the tips, I will look into those. For now though, its a bit of a toss up between Stella and the original Egoiste by Chanel (which interestingly enough has damask rose as the heart note).
Aw thanks!
I do love that one!
Try Freak by Illamasqua. It's unexpectedly clean and pure in a delicate shampoo kind of way.
I had no idea what Mathilde Laurent was going to do to achieve a lily scent because they cannot be distilled, but 15 minutes of fooling my nose is good enough, and at least it transitions nicely.
Have tried the eau de parfum version ? And is it as good?
OMG Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific was the best ever!!! I think it was described as a spicy carnation. If there is any similarity then I must have this :)
I absolutely LOVE this perfume!!! It actually only smells flowers/green on me the first 30 seconds after application though. Then it goes straight to a soft oriental, honey, balmy smell - like an old fashioned lipstick (I absolutely adored the smell of those!!!), or like you said: "like an old fashioned lady's vanity table" :) It doesn't last particularly long on me, but it's OK. Tt creates such a beautiful shell of coziness, softness and class!
does it smell warm like honey, like warm rain on lilies? Or a bit tropical, like vanilla? Anything but lillies? I mean, lillies just smell exotic/sensual to me, like roses mixed with honey.
@@helenarichard i used up this perfume quite a few years ago, so I don't quite remember the smell any more, but it wasn't exotic or fruity. It was more warm, honey-like sweet and flowery, maybe also a little oriental. Back then it was possible to buy perfume samples. Seems like they are harder to get hold of the past few years though. I would always recommend looking for a sample before buying a bottle
The Vermont Country Store catalogue is a veritable time machine!
Coeur is misspelled in the description box, merci bien cherie.
Katie, I need a perfume for summer. The only problem is I have no idea what I really want. One day I am into vanilla, the other into powdery smells. Do you maybe have some ideas? What I do not want are citrus or unisex perfumes. Thanks!
Hey Katie, I'm looking for a dry incense-y, honeyed rose perfume thats slightly sweet but not too feminine. What would you recommend? I've heard that Portrait of a Lady is somewhat like that but others have said that it is rather perfume-y and ultra feminine. Is this so, or could it safely be worn by a man?
i love this for the first five (maybe even less) minutes. then it's powder city. the bottle is lovely though
Oh, how you are singing my song with those disco references! I'm not familiar with Halston for Women, but "frillier Aromatics Elixir" has piqued my interest.
I hope you'll see this, b/c i don't have anyone else to ask. I wanted to buy Annick Goutal Petite Cherie today. I usually try to get eau de parfumes, but the guy at Saks was pushing the eau de toilette, saying that it smells better and i can get more product for a bit more money. i'm not interested getting more for less though, i'm interested in paying for quality. i only got to sample the fragrance as an eau de toilette though, which i love, so i'm confused about what i should do now. pls help
Great review God I love it it lasts forever on me when I first smelled it in the mall my nose was taken like 200 ft to the perfume counter and then I couldn't find where it was coming from all I know it was this beautiful trail of scent that took me to the counter and boy when I found that I immediately bought a bottle of the lotion I don't have the perfume until recently when I went on to macari and purchased one from sunbird for real cheap so I'll have at least a hundred sprays out of that bottle and for $8 I think I did pretty well smelling yummy
I would like to hear your thoughts on a few new fragrances.... Jimmy Choo, Roberto Cavalli, and Balenciaga!
It's so sleek and deluxe!
What do you think of CoStume National Scent Intense?
So... does it really smell like madonna lilies, real lilies, not plastic ones etc. etc. That's all I care about.
was that shampoo in that brown bottle?!
thank you so much. there's no way i could use up even the 50ml bottle of it in a year, let alone a 100ml one, i have so much other stuff >_< i really did feel like the guy at saks just wanted me to spend $20 more, but it seemed so silly for him to, so it was very confusing. guess i'll have to go make my purchase elsewhere now. thank you again, i'm very happy to have someone to ask these things. i feel like you're my perfume fairy god mother :)
Whatchu talkin bout Willis?!! This fragrance is green floral/lily on powder on white floral/lily on powder, all the livelong day!!
It's lovely if you appreciate powdery floral fragrances. 😳
love it!
When I first read "dry incense-y, honeyed rose", I immediately thought of the new one from Trish McEvoy, Black Rose Oud. It's quite similar to By Kilian Rose Oud. Those are the ones you should check out. I do feel Portrait of a Lady, with its voluptuous plushness, is a bit too Elizabeth Taylor for a man to wear. But a similar-but-butcher version can be found in Incense Oud from By Kilian. You might love that one, too.
Sounds like Dior's Rose 'n', a bit incensey, not real roses. I know what an real rose perfume smells like. A woman I know makes perfume from her rose garden and it smells exactly like bulgarian roses even though they don't grow here (we do have Parfum de Provence roses here).
I meant Dior's Rose 'n' Roses
You are so funny! Do you have a favorite perfume you like to use?
Can you review Euphoria by Calvin Klein?
Love your reviews FYI I purchase the . Gee, Your Hair Smells Terrific at the Vermont Country Store online and it doesnt smell anything like the orignal shampoo..It smell like granny funk...Don't waste your money...I paid 15.00 a bottle and its NASTY!!!
Once, I thought I detected a fleeting baloney, but was never able to recapture it on subsequent sniffs. It may be there subliminally. The saltiness leans towards the "normal" variety.
If you miss the discontinued Chanel No.22 then this is your fragrance.!.
IT IS THE EXACT SMELL OF THE CHANEL No.22.... My wife LOVED
Chanel 22 & mentions it EVERY Christmas... I can FINALLY buy her Chanel 22
once again withthis perfume!
Alright, alright, you got me, I will order a sample. I can tell you LOVE it, I mean, it opens the universe's door, I must try it. :)
Please review Estee Lauder Sensuous nude. Thank you. I love your review. :))
Hi Katie, sounds like you are strolling down Classic Memory Lane with Aromatic Elixir ! getting into those Greens!, may I suggest a fragrance that you may fancy, its a Delicious Disco Classic from the 70s, "Halston Classic ,Halston for Women" you probably know it, but I guess you need to hunt down a Pre Reformulated bottle, shouldn't be to hard, it was everywhere!, its Green its Sparkles its Divine! reminds me of Aromatics Elixir but Frillier! More More More How Do You Like It.
Owned!
No, bright magenta bottle.
but if someones personality is to try too hard is that not considered his personality as well? i mean think about it! it's just that you don't like it that makes you think it's not good as a feature :P
Nice!!!!! Gritty!
The most beautiful perfume I have ever smelt in my 55 years.
Hello it's lilly time!
Check out my vid review of Miller Harris Fleur Oriental.
4:16 Now that's the non-official KP approval, now I must try it lol
Wow, stunning bottle. Do you detect any cured-meat saltiness that lily sometimes possesses, or do you just smell "normal" salt?
Aw shucks, Amanda. Thanks!
its too strongg and mature for 20y.o
Can’t stand the base-I get I’ll from sandalwood-tried and tried to find out ingredients before I purchased-nope DII Not list sandalwood
In baiser voile il legno di sandalo non c è proprio per niente....
Bought this, and was so let down. I did not Get much outfit this review either, which you are usually quite Good and precise at.
I usually enjoy and agree on your reviews, but respectfully have to disagree on this one. This light and beautiful Lilly of the Valley scent does not evolve into anything similar to shampoo (and I remember the one referred to). At least not on me. Guess we all experience perfumes differently.
Wouldn't have recognised you if it weren't for the name. Haven't seen you on tv in years..
I totally agree with the salty meat smell..how odd! Lol
Dang... I was not the first, well...
I'm Katie P and I smell ... Good
First I must say u'r very good at describing scents, and u seem nice and intelligent, I've seen all your reviews. But just one thing annoys me. You try just a little too hard to be both funny and sexy, which actually works against you, in my opinion. I think everyone shold be who they are, of course, but some personality traits are more charming than others. Do with this comment what u want, just a suggestion, no hate, I promise :)
I got this for Christmas and it's not a favorite of mine at all...
She doesn't do clean - anything but clean :-P
HELLO! IT'S LILLY TIME!!!! lol
I found your review very ambiguous and confusing. You say it “doesn’t last more than 15 mins on the skin,” then later say it’s “very long-lasting.” ?? There are more examples of this confusion within the video; that’s just the one that stuck with me.
There was no mention of the soft powdery accent, which I, who doesn’t care for powdery scents AT ALL, absolutely love. It’s not too much; just enough to soften the fragrance so the floral scent isn’t overwhelming. It conflates the essences into one beautiful, soft, feminine, wearable and long-lasting scent not to be forgotten. It does not smell like a “perfume;” rather a warm, soft scent with which you seem to have been born. I’m always searching for another “signature fragrance,” and other lovely scents for a little variety every now and then. Suffice it to say I’ve tried NUMEROUS fragrances. I currently have a collection of lovely ones, but I always come back to this. I’ve never smelled anything CLOSE to its beauty (even the shampoo mentioned that I loved so dearly). I’ve gotten many compliments when wearing this. It’s simply the most wonderful and beautiful scent I’ve come across in a very long time; a must-try.
It was gifted to me .It smells terrible.
I wore this and my mom said it smelled like bug spray.
I was not attracted to this fragrance. . . too green-like, too woodsy. It just didn't appeal to me. I sent it back to Macy's.
Celeste, in the ATL
I may try too hard for the funny, but I just can't help the sexy ;-)
The lily at the beginning is gorgeous, but then the drydown is hideously old lady on me. Blech!
Funny is sexy! One doesn't preclude the other :)
Gosh you're beautiful gggaaahhhhh!
