Hi Lee, It may be possible now, this was done around three years ago now. Best bet would be to look at the FRsky website and see if they have upgraded the unit and the way it can be programmed. Update all my receivers via my radio, so it’s possible you can do this now. I will have to look into it as well. Have a great day. 👍🏻
Hi Chris Thanks for the comment on the aeroscout draco. hahahahahha it's a lot cheaper.... I'm wai for your corsair to take to the sky's.... ALL down to weather?????? Stay lucky Brian
Poor choice of higher channels. Channels 9-12 on the S8R is reserved for Stabilization control. Channels 13-16 is a far better choice to extend the S8R.
Hi Quantum, absolutely correct, it’s possible I didn’t think as I do not use the stabilization at this time. Good point thou. I should add this into the description. Have a great day.
great vid as usual chris just for info if u get the transmitter too close to the reciever it will swamp the reciever with rf and do exactly what you had happen my one does exactly the same usually happens within around 3 to 4ft so will be fine under normal conditions. Im going to wings and wheels over at north weald so hopefully ill see you there gonna take a few quid with me as the bring and buy tent is full of bargains
That be great to meet up, I guess you goto the Drone tent. staying overnight with the Boss. She normally allows me to buy something 😎. My other radios I have let me get abit closer, so I guess the X20 prefers to be further away 👍🏻. Thanks fir popping by Taz.
@@DadsRCHangar believe it or not chris i actually fly fixed wing aircraft more than i do drones i just enjoy all aspects of rc but in all honesty i love my planes over everything else im just very good with electronics so found building and flying drones a somewhat natural progression from the usual planes n stuff. ive still got my very first plane i ever flew i designed built and flew it without anyones help at the age of 12 and it still flies to this date. i pretty much taught myself how to do everything rc.
Hey Chris, glad the Friday feeling is back👍, I was interested in s-bus because I will need to know “how to set up” but I use futaba so don’t think it’s the same? How did Weston U.K. get on with your spitfire exhaust?
Yup back in the place. I am going this Friday coming John, kitchen kinda killed my free time. I have called them and arranged it with them. Did ask if I could film as well, they an interesting couple. The husband is 73 and still making exhausts. Brilliant. I am hoping this will be Friday Feeling for next week.
They are great people, he’s designed & built a tethered racing hydroplane with an adjustable tuned pipe depending how fast the engines going, superb engineering, ask him to show you it & his workshop. if anyone can make the spitfire exhaust, he can & fascinating to talk to. His western cougar 2000 with his own Weston 2 stroke & pipe is a great plane & engine/pipe combo, I’ve got them on recommendation of our club members! so take your credit card with you!!!! Lol👍
Hi Goran, S8R has 3 Axi Stabilisation in it to help you fly, or do Knife edge or hover etc. I would not advise using them together thou. Would be cheaper to use SBus-PWM decoder 👍🏻
Very interesting Chris , great video showing us how you can extend your channels...👊👍😉🇬🇧
Thanks for popping by Sean , yup saves money 👍🏻
Can you program the sbus extender directly from the radio? Seems like that would be very handy and you wouldn’t need a dedicated programmer..

Thanks David, good luck with the Quad racing tomorrow. 👍🏻
