    FACT: The watersheds of the Milk River and the Poplar River/Great Muddy Creek, which make up the northernmost part of the Mississippi/Missouri River basin emptying in the Gulf of Mexico, are the unmapped, unmarked northern boundary of the Louisiana Territory.

    Sadly, L’ouverture was captured and taken to France where he died in prison. But the freedom he gained for his country remains to this day. He was a great hero.

    You conveniently left out the Historical Fact that A Black Man,who was a Slave was part of this Expedition. His Name was YORK. LOOK IT UP on RUclips.

      You are absolutely correct about York being an important historical figure in the Corps of Discovery. The goal of this video was to explain the purchase of the Louisiana Territory in the years prior to the expedition.       A Cajun is a person of white European descent that speaks French and/or Spanish. They were originally French, but opposed the King and became their own society. (French Canadians)

      The French Empire stole it from the Spanish Empire who never really conquered the Louisiana territory. It was more of an aspiration than a settled claim.
