Artist's Lament Short Film -- Crowd Funding

Hello everybody! My name's Alexis and I'm currently in pre-production for my short film: Artist's Lament.
This is a passion project that I am 100% self financing. What started out as a small project that I was doing with friends has attracted such a talented and diverse team that it's become something greater than I ever planned it to be. I’ve poured my entire savings into this project, and now I’m asking for your support to help me finish this piece of art that’s very special to me and is going to be very big!
We have a high class set of filmmakers who are devoted to contributing their time to this project. We have Thaine Morris a leading visual and special effects artist from great films like Star Wars, E.T., Ghostbusters. Maz Makhani, a brilliant cinematographer whose latest film was Antoine Fuqua's 'The Guilty' starring Jake Gyllenhaal. Alex Bretow (producer) and Kourosh Ahari (producer/director), the producer and director of the critically acclaimed psychological thriller, 'The Night.'
While this short is drawn directly from my own experience as an artist, it is really a love letter to artists everywhere working in every medium and classification. The short film’s universally relatable themes will make artists who have similarly spent their lives expressing the darkest and brightest corners of their souls in their work -- many of whom spend a lifetime not being recognized -- feel seen. The film symbolically speaks an important and timely message to artists everywhere yet carries such a cinematic quality to its storytelling.
Your contributions will go directly to the making of this unique and special short film, and the evidence will be right on screen! The funds will contribute to building a set, the cost of shooting on film including film stock and lab processing and most importantly, a large portion of the funds will go toward post production.
Our shoot is right around the corner! So I can really use your support as soon as possible to keep this unique short film on track before we start principal photography.
