Porsche clearly has the highest straight line speed among all hypercars. Other cars were struggling to reach 300kph on this track but my man did it easily way before the breaking point.
A couple were able to do 300kph, but the most interesting thing I found from all the cars was the different gear ratios that they all use to get good acceleration , like the caddy was already in top gear right as it hit the rise up on the main straight and was still decently pulling in that gear when it got to the end of the straight while others like Ferrari hit top gear a little bit before they had to lift off and get on the breaks
You can't conlude that from a random selection of onboard laps. According to official timing data Ferraris were able to hit 310.3 and 306.8, best Toyota 308.6 and best Porsche 305.9. All in FP3. In qualifying best Ferrari clocked 307.7 while next best ones did all 302.5 (Porsche, Peugeot, Toyota, Glickenhaus). So, not quite "clearly".
Much appreciation to the Porsche drivers, but I am under the impression that these GT drivers have not yet managed to adapt to the faster driving of the LMDh. Or Porsche needs to evolve something with its 963. Anyway, I hope Porsche honors Uncle Penske, he deserves victories, they are a great team. I hope that in Le Mans (Porsche territory), they will do well. We also do not rule out a performance bluff to avoid the BoP.
Awesome to see the Porsche 963 on the Portimão circuit! Can we please have a Vanwall onboard now?
Still Vanwall and Glickenhaus onboards left. But I think we'll get them.
Actually theres 2 lose videos on YT onboard the Vanwall in shakedown test.
The World of Endurance Motorsport! The best choice! Ever!❤❤❤❤
What a weekend for Porsche! Glad to see some competition for both these races

Thanks to the Aston in front of it in the straight 😉
That's more likely slipstream

Melhorem esse carro por favor para a Porsche voltar ao topo
Is this tape, debris, or some kind of pressure/aero-gauge on the antenna? Ok - looks like tape..
Eine Schande was Porsche zur Zeit abliefert
Ferrari so much smoother than porsche which is very vibration
First
Thought Porsche was using a Flat 6, turns out it’s a V8
Porsche needs to work on performance
I thought all cars had 7 gears
the vanwall doesn't
Looks slow
This is the worst track on calendar, no wonder F1 dropped it... Boring af.
Disagree.
Nah, is cool, not the best, but cool...
Barhain is the most boring.
Just watch IMSA then lol
