thanks for your comment. It is hard for me to compare this machine to any other one. I don't work on excavators :) I just have it. My father used to run a construkction company in the past. Now this machine is mine and it is fun for me to rebuild it.
You're right. This engine is really funny :) 4,9 L but only 41kW :) it has one advantage - it's simple, parts are still available, repairs are not so complicated. Fuel consumption - very low (6,5 l/h). I'm going to use it for my private purpouses, especially on my yard. My first thought was to scrap it or sell it. A good friend of mine, told me not to do that. Every simple ground job will cost me more than I'll get for this machine. No I can do many things by myself. I'm going to learn how to operate this excavator the proper way :)
Actually I have two excavators. One is from DDR (Nobas) and other one is from USRR - (YUMZ on wheels). Maybe i'll start it this year - this will be really challenging. It's going to be a lot of fun.
