Hearing the trap clicking against the H stand was wild. It's just like the beaver heard you coming and was just leaving.

Catching them in a bog is hard, true. That set along the dam is a little used set,but you knew it. you are a good beaver trapper.

You kill me. Love it. I just did my first beaver set of the season, Ts-85 on a drowner. I've learned so much from you. You're like Keven Costner to me. Actually, screw him. I bet he never caught a beaver in his life.

Just recalled most of the fatal marshland beaver attack. It was a young man,mid 20's west of the town of Medina ,N.Y. a little ways. For what ever reason the beaver did not drowned or die from any trap used. It was likely unseen in the marsh grasses & the guy was bitten in the thigh. Less than 100 yrds to his vehicle he did not make it & bled out. He was found in a search effort after 1 day of not returning home. I always tote a firearm & or 1" steel pipe. (Critter wrecker)

Good to have a sled with a hundred and fifty to two hundred pounds to get back to the truck. Fellow caught an eighty five pounder. Said that was the longest fifty yards to the truck he had ever had to make.

In my 70's now so really only an armchair trapper. Did trap a fox once using an old leghold trap and rotten liver for bait. Caught him by 2 front toes and he was snarling mad. Did him in with a baseball bat to the noggin. Adrenaline surge is understatement. That was over 50 years ago. I envy your youth, skill and the time to pursue this pastime. How much more time you must spend to skin, stretch, and tan pelts. What do you get for a prime beaver these days?

How far do you drive to trap these beavers? Also, do people contact you to remove them? I'm wondering because I'm a beginner beaver trapper.

We also have a HUGE HOUSE ON hole 8 and another smaller hut on hole 4. Than there is 2 on hole 12. Bank beavers. We had DNR come out and they trapped 4 this season. Than stopped. The beavers on 12 are daming up our drain pipes
