I have a beautiful Black walnut in the yard shading the house. The previous owner cut it about ten to twelve feet from the ground, but it grew back with a vengeance. It is about 30 inches across at the base, but it splits into two about a foot from the ground. The addition back there gets so hot candles melt to liquid when the tree isn't there so cutting it down isn't an option thankfully. It's a beauty.
Here in central California the farmers don’t care about walnut wood. They cut the trees put them in a pile and burn them,I will love to make a walnut stock for my synthetic air gun rifle. Good job guy.
I have a beautiful Cedar of Lebanon I've been saving. I was thinking about milling planks with it. Any suggestions or requests for how I mill it? Thanks for watching my videos and Merry Christmas!
Cedar makes some beautiful table tops. Maybe 1" thick or maybe 1.5 " thick. It makes some beautiful kitchen islands also. Carpenters in your area might jump on it. Thats my favorite wood for building.
1.5" slabs would honor the tree well. I believe it's roughly 24" in diameter. Keep an eye out for a future video with me milling it. Seems like a worthy log to run for the holidays also.
That's definitely some beautiful wood that's so cool ya'll get to cut your own boards especially now with prices so high thanks for sharing
Looks like you are using too much water. A drop a second or so seems to work. Yours looks like it’s a constant stream. Beautiful wood and great video!
Thank you! I have learned to use less water since this video. I appreciate the feedback!
I just ordered the woodland Mills HM130 Max I can't wait, beautiful boards by the way keep up the good work!!
Thank you Jeff!
nice job,
Thank you sir, we really enjoy your videos and Instagram. Have a great New Year!
Nice slabs 👍🏻
Very nice grain, walnut trees are almost all gone here in Northeast TN.

That’s terrible! Luckily we get called up to haul logs that would otherwise be burnt or turned into firewood. Thanks for watching!
They throw walnut away I almost passed out reading this
If you ever get one id love to see some cedar on that mill.

Looking forward to it. Merry Christmas!
I milled a walnut that had a nut in the board.
That's wild! I have only found a few nails and a bullet unfortunately.
It’s the third time I’m seeing this video in 24hrs. Beautiful wood
Made some beautiful furniture with it!
Those were nice 👍. I don’t have any walnut growing nearby. Mainly pine
Very nice grain
Beautiful walnut!
Yes indeed. Milling walnut never gets old!
That was the sexiest thing i ever saw on RUclips
Agreed!!!
Beautiful. What will you be selling those for? How much each?
Thanks! They are about 15 board feet apiece and the going rate for walnut is $5/bf, so these are $75.
