I’ve been MIA from this hobby for a couple months and nothing brings me back like 52 Miniatures
Welcome back LJ!
Man. Every single video of yours is just so good, going beyond the "paint plastic for wargame" is a format you've perfected over the years I've been subscribed. No one else captures that feeling of wonder and immersion within the world quite like it. Its honestly like hobby aphrodisiac
Well thank you Sc! I appreciate it.
Your stories regarding the miniatures bring more life to them than just playing games with them.
Miniature diarama based on your book reviews would be great. Keep inspiring.
Thank you immensely for that comment. And good idea regarding the books :)
Excellent video! Damn you put a lotta work into the cinematic visuals lol. Great project, writing and editing, audio. I swear you live in a production designed world lol. 🍻
Hah! Thanks and Yeah I do. This is a lot of work. Probably two weeks back to back to make this one. Had a lot of fun to.
today is my birthday and this was one of my favourite moments - a 52 minis video is often a unique gift on a given day. bravo alex!
Happy birthday Mark! And thank you.
That's awsome! I really love the diarorama in a picture frame. Sort of gives me heavy metal album cover vibes.
Thanks Ethan! I appreciate it.
"Try hard to let go" those are some words to live by. Inspiring as always brother. Lata love from NC.
I hope you can keep up your adventure movie type of narration. No minute i was tempted to skip the video forward because of your story and voice. Also the painting/art theme in this video is very interesting. Thanks for creating.
I hope so to Coco, thank you.
Fantastic video. You hooked me on these Veil Touched minis and I patiently await for mine. Thanks Alex!
I hope that patients will very soon pay off! Thanks Sean, and the minis look great.
How thoughtful. It looks great and excellent choice of frame. It's very complimentary to the diorama. 👍
Thanks Alex.
See you next time 🙂
Thank you ToG!
@@52Miniatures Your welcome 🤗
The contrast between the colors are gorgeous.
I hope you’re happy with that piece of art, Alex? I’d be over the moon with it. Amazing colours and tonal shift. I’ve had something like this in mind for fantasy for some time and this might just be the thing that kickstarts it!
I'm very happy with the outcome. I think it looks better in real life that on camera too. There's something about the optical 2d vs 3d illusion that gets lost in camera. I hope you try it out.
Cool video thanks Alex and congrats to Dave on the game and minis, take care.
Thanks The End!
You really have improved with the flow of your voice-over presentation. Keep up the work, and you now have a really good baseline for future videos
This video is looking appetizing!
Postnord is as reliable as always I see.
Great video 😁
Always!
No only is every shot in all your videos filled with rich and purposefull colour but the narrative along with it is just as rich, huge inspiration for not only my hobby but also for videography and RUclips in general
Thank you Aden. I kind of hope to make a video that works without sound, or with only sound, as well as the full combo.
I love your channel Alex. Your level of creativity and dedication is inspiring. Love from the US brother.
Thank you very much Rob, I appreciate it.
I think it’s obvious you work as a cameraman just because everything is layer out with such precision to focus the view on the main figure. Out of all the diorama RUclipsrs I think you certainly have the best placement, it would be really interesting if you were to get a collab with other creators on a larger scale project.
So happy to get another video to watch with your design/aesthetic sensibilities! ❤
Thanks Chris!
This is a really cool idea for gifts!
I love your videos. They bring a unique vibe. You are a creator, a concept artist, a fantastic painter, and you bring and blend all these together to raise miniature painting to a new level of art. Hats off, Alex!
Thank you so much 😀
I love these mini related stories so much. The best painting vids on the site.
Thank you very much Vilhelm
Awesome work as always Alex ^^ This was a great one to watch and listen to while being sick all day... can't wait for the Veil Touched series to release and paint some myself with your work as inspiration!
Thank you Aleria, I hope you get better soon!
@@52Miniatures Thanks Alex ^^ Much appreciated and yeah, I hope so too :'d Can't really paint while sick! The results are abyssmal, truly..
really beautiful piece of art
Thank you Sara
Beautiful!
Great content Alex, hobby soul food! I really like what you did with this mini, I think I'll be giving that a go this year! Thank you
Thank you C! I wish you good luck :)
lovely colours on the diorama! :D Those miniatures really are amazing, and I can't get enough of all the new details that the new printing techniques can give to them. Compare minis from today to 10 years ago and there's a huge difference!
GOONNA LOOOOOOVE watching you paint some space dwarves!!! I have a bit of crowdfunding fatigues right now but I hope we can buy them from their website in the future! or from a retail store!
Thanks Valdo, Dwarves will be in the next video :)
Great stuff friend 👏 👍
Thanks for sharing your journey
thanks Mark!
Dang your colors pop so bright I'm gonna have to give that method a shot for my Judgment Eternal Champions minis. Back to your first ravaged star video where you went into detail with the speed paint method.
Sounds good Stefan! And Thanks
Beautiful Artwork!
Looking forward to your dwarf approach 😃
Wonderful diorama and an excellent video, as always!
Thanks C! Appreciated as always.
Thanks for sharing your inspiration! I may pick up a frame the next time I’m in a thrift store
This is awesome, my friend
Thanks Matt!
Look at that! Your work is always a wonder to behold, excellent work, sir!
Thank you very much!
Beautiful piece of art!! 😍
Thank you very much guys!
Excellent, as usual. I love the storytelling aspect of your videos.
Thanks Garry, I really appreciate hearing that.
Absolutely inspired work Alex.
You never fail to inspire. The diorama turned out fantastic. I can’t wait for my Veil Touched to get here in the next couple months and I’m also super excited for the next chapter of the Ravaged Star Saga, I will be pledging for that as well. Thank you for inspiration once again.
Thank you I! I'm looking forward to the dwarves!
Very, very cool as always Alex! 😎
Hey, that's a really great gift Idea! I'll need to try that at some point!
Awesome work Alex! We Canadians all meet up once a month for dinner at the Prime Ministers, I'll be sure to ask Dave about it when I see him.
I knew this! Also, please say hi to Neil Young for me.
Brilliant. Lovely piece. I too love space dwarfs. Can't wait to see what you do with them.
Härligt.
Thanks! Yeah, very much looking forward to them.
Great video, awesome story as always. Brilliant is all I can say, though it seems I've said more best go now before I keep saying thing about how this was a brilliant video and loved the way you got that concept done.
Thanks ISI!
Love it! The diorama thing has been growing on me the last few years. I don't have the space to keep vast armies or even small armies so painting them up and sending them off to friends and family as gifts has been my ticket. Doing dioramas with them just make them that much more presentable as a gift.
Thanks Clive!
I love everything about this diorama! I've been working on my own first framed diorama lately and it's such an incredible experience. Great job!!
Also, was that The Carnival of Immortals? Gosh I love that comic, my dad had it when he was young and made a whole poster copying the cover of the comic. I still have that poster around, it's super cool.
I only know the swedish name of the comic, as it's a swedish version. But the artist is Enki Bilal
Entertaining as ever. Good stuff, thank you.
More dioramas, please! ... with space dwarves?
Words of wisdom from Alex, which I'll paraphrase... don't set yourself up for disappointment by expecting perfection on the first go when trying something new. I found that liberating, although I lowered my expectations a bit further as "perfection" is something I never achieve... I'm pleased when I get to "pretty good". Great video... and looking forward to seeing the dwarfs in a future video!
Thanks mark! A little late, but I 'm behind on the comments :) Dwarf coming up in a few days.
Very thoughtful gift and wonderfully done.
Thank you kindly Keith
That is beautiful, and actually really inspiring as a unique display piece. That will have me thinking of my RPG group and potentially putting something together that represent that. What did you use to keep it together? Plus, I didn't really care for the chaos vibe, but the hard sci-fi dwarves and alien bugs do looks pretty cool so I might check the next project out.
That, and there were 52 comments at the time I made this. Very nice
I pretty much glued it all together with hot glue. The black box of foam core that is. The rest I just treated a regular diorama, using whatever glue was handy.
You have done a fantastic job once again! I love your videos!
Thank you very much!
Those RS miniatures look pretty sweet, the official models seem a bit larger than the 3d printed version it? Anyways, as always, a beautifull paintjob and diorama and great video, I need to get myself back to painting again!
Oh and edit: Enki Bilal is allways fantastic!
What an amazing gift! Those miniatures are just next level with details and posing. Your painting has made them come alive….and watching you mix paints on the mini is like watching a master painter giving themselves to the creative process. Thank you for sharing this with us, I can’t wait to see the Space Dwarves painted! ❤
Thank you very much Andy, Dwarves coming in a few days.
The diorama is absolutely stunning, hope you make more like this in the future!
I hope so too! This one unfortunately did not do much for the algorithm.
@@52Miniatures I'll watch it a few hundred times more, see if that does anything to help 😁
Genuinely though, it's a shame the algorithm is the way it is. Back to Space Marines then?
@@stegotron Yellow ones? That's the ticket.
I like what you did with the model, even if I personaly don't like the style of the models.
I did a forging dwarf in a yar as a gift that was great fun.
Thanks TFTF. I'm looking forward to painting these dwarves.
Good to see you letting your (nuclear apocalypse version) inner Bob Ross out for that background Alex. Yes to moody french comics with boobs in and beautiful framed diorama builds.
Here an intended unhappy accident!
always inspirational!
Thanks for another cool video!
Very inspirational
Beautiful and inspiring!
Thank you so much Michal
OOO, nice dwarfs!
yeah! Thanks Janne
Always a fan of your videos Alex. I made my first diorama last year and it was a lot of fun, the planning of a diorama is always the toughest part because you set up an expectation but then realize you either have a better idea half way through or that you have to adjust your idea when you don't want to but it's is a great experience I can definitely agree especially when it's for someone else
Can't wait to see your next video :)
Thank you very much Ovan!
a lovely result =)
Thank you! 😊
Bro is the bob ross of miniature painting
Wonderful video as anticipated, I have to say for the Record, Alien Insect creatures are far more fun than Alien Dwarf creatures. However with your art work now completed , the Veil is truly touched.
I squish them bugs says the mighty dwarf!
Beautiful art mr52
Many many thanks
Limited amount of paints is like two shots of vodka.
So you don't have to paint the back... genius... LOL
A delightful video as always, thank you so much Alex! Was it difficult to snap the base from the mini? Did you use any particular method? Did you also try to disassemble some of them, i.e. for conversions? I backed the Ravaged Star campaign but was not so fond of the minis coming pre-assembled... Thanks!🤗
It was not to difficult, but I'm not sure how all the other are. They appear to be glued together. So they are moulded in subassembly? And someone else glues them together? I can't say. But looks like you can take them apart if you put your mind to it.
@@52Miniatures thank you very much! They are moulded in subassemblies and then glued, yes.
I miss him
Finally a Swede that pronounces diorama correctly
DIARAMA
Just watched squid boys new vid before yours....
@@52Miniatures still wrong I guess, but you didn’t mess up the I. Doesn’t elicit a vision of funny hats...
Ps. Now that I have your attention, love the Stormbound black paint scheme you did for your black armour vid. Not big on Sigmar, but I received a freebie model with one of my purchases and decided to imitate it,( to a degree) to offer as a reward for the students at the school I work at. Keep up the good work bud!
@@jimsabo1189 Thanks Jim! Sounds like a fun thing to do.. and yeah. I respect Emil immensely but I swear his Swinglish is getting worse for every episode. I bet they have some in house fun going.
Hehe.
No. The other one.
Entranced by your production, as always.
Thank AI, I appreciate it.
Is there any luck you would know the VAT and shiping costs to europe? Thanks
No idea I'm afraid.
That's all right thanks anyway
it's always a bad sign when you look at the miniatures of a 3rd party manufacturer and think "okay...and what are you supposed to be proxy/stand in as?"
Amazing idea and lovely execution
Thanks Para!
Thanks you Roman Lappat @MASSIVEVOODOOTV
Exellent!
