I am using your daytrip videos to plan my 2025 trip to japan. They contain so much useful information!! It looks like Harajuku can be more of a half day kind of plan, unlike shibuya, that one will take a whole day with all the shopping possibilities there are 😂
@@adoboramen it would be cool if you can do day trip videos for Asakusa and Akihabara, and if it is outside tokyo maybe Nara, Hiroshima, like the Hakone video 😄 also a bit different but how to plan a travel for going to festivals. I want to go in summer only for the festivals and yukata Hahaha but I can't find much info on how to plan that well, i f you can share some insight on planning to go for festivals it would be much appreciated!
Hi friend! Another great walking tour! omg that bear cafe was crazy cute! What a novelty way to do things. I laughed about the Handmaid's Tale bag - I love that show! Blessed be the fruitloops! That little shell plate caught my eye ~ I love seashells and anything beachy. What a collection of stores. I think I just gained 20 pounds looking at everything. If my great-nephew gets accepted to the JET program, I'll be very happy for him. He found out that it takes a year for the process. Everything is starting to slow down in the garden and the rain is starting up. We're having a week of good weather so I'm running outside to get all the vitamin D I can. Thank you so much for all the hard work you put into your vlogs for us! Mahalo! 💟

@@adoboramen I found the tornado potatoes in the store one day. I put them in my air fryer and they turned out pretty good! The last few things I've harvested were my big tomatoes and I made sauce with some of them. Yum yum! I got a couple banana shaped melons that tasted like cantaloupe and about 5 itty bitty little pumpkins to decorate with! We got lots of rain today, so it will be a big soggy tomorrow. I hope my tatsoi and bok choy didn't drown! lol. Have a great rest of your week, friend! 🍃🍁

I was kinda disappointed with that Sanrio store, and all the Sanrio stores really. There was no Chococat. I thought surely in Japan I would see more merchandise of him, but I did not see any!
Have you been to the Sanrio Store in Ginza? We’re planning to do a tour there since it was being renovated when we wanted to go. I wonder if they have Chococat there.

He had a decent presence in the US back in the late 90s-mid aughts, back when we had Sanrio Surprise chain stores. Those went away when they started selling Hello Kitty merch everywhere else. It was nice that she was more widely available, but bad because it was her and only her. There’s been a resurgence of other characters however, at chain US stores, like Hot Topic. They had started selling Chococat merch, but it’s still very rare to see him. They mostly focus on Kuromi, My Melody, and occasionally Hello Kitty and Keroppi. Kuromi is more popular, and honestly, sort of lead to the decline of Chococats popularity in the 2000s. Since Hot Topic targets teenagers, and young adults, it makes more sense for there to be more Kuromi merch, since she was more popular when their demographic grew up with her.

what do they mean with the tax free or not checkouts?
Will it just be slightly more expensive on check-out if they dont have it or..?
Some stores have tax-free options for foreign visitors where you can show proof and they will remove the tax from the total.
