Strange they used a cannon to throw the ball. In the movie, paying attention (after you know that it's from a cannon) actually the ball isn't in line with his hand. They could really easily add it in CG since they anyway adjusted it with computer to make it completely disappear at the end. And practically it's a black dot moving. It would be a 30 minutes work and would have saved a lot of stress and tools during shooting. Strange decisions, sometimes.
