If Sherlock loves Molly he hid it and denied it so well even to himself that Moiartry didn't understand it. But Euros yes. And this and the destruction of the coffin made me realize that it is real love. This makes Sherlock vulnerable and he is unable to accept it. Will continue to deny it X always. Molly has no chance. It's different with Watson and Irene; he dominates them both, he is stronger, he can manage them as he wishes. If he let himself go with Molly, Sherlock would not be able to defend himself from the strength of his love for him. He would be crushed by it. Molly is much stronger than he is even though it doesn't look like it. Molly is made of steel.

That was I am thinking. Sherlock has done many things that denies his belief to things because of molly. Like when he says that molly's boyfriend was gay and he said that he is saving her from pain but Sherlock know that molly love him but he never pierce the thruth, making there a no hint of ambiguity bu no rejection either. Sherlock was very pragmatist, he know what to do, what step to take or what action was relevant or irrelevant, that's why he can tricked janine or faced irene. But i always felt that molly is different, molly can see through sherlocks and as far as I know, molly was the only one who slaps Sherlock not once but tries and sherlock just accepted it. Sherlock can trust molly fully that he can't do to janine or irene. Actually Sherlock can stop mollys love for him, if and only if he straightly say that there is no future for each of them in a relationship but he didn't and that makes way for a new direction but i know that if will be different to the book of Mr. Doyle. I think the writer or producer of the series was helpless, its fine to gave molly s more screen time, but it cant gave a name to a relationship with Sherlock because it will be sublime and will be differnt to what road they hope to look. After all in the book and the first adaption of sherlock holmes movies, Sherlock was truly meant for irene and it showns sherlock as no having relationship to another women other than irene but the series is different, he can control his feelings, he can have relationship with other woman.
In emotional aspect like in another thingking, sherlock enemy's will sometimes control him emotionally. So who will they choose?? Will it be irene!? His family?clised friend? What will make him crazy?
In the end they choose molly to affect sherlock emotions, and it end up right. He deducted wrongly, he become violent breaking the coffin or whatnot. So why did they choose molly? A person who is in a first place was just a side character.
Molly hang in there, youre rode ro become with sherloch will be truly hard. Sigh
@@DailyCreature Agree in the most points you said, but Sherlock Holmes was never meant for Irene Adler, neither in Conan Doyle's only story where she appeared or in earlier adaptations. It was always just mutual respect and admiration between them and she didn't need the great Sherlock Holmes to save her. Irene Adler married the man she really loved and went with him to America, and this man wasn't Sherlock Holmes.
She was never mentioned again in later stories.
And sorry to say that, it's actually known Sherlock in BBC version also has no real interest in women, he was never meant to be with a woman, not even with Irene, who stated herself as gay to John.
Sherlock and Irene were mirrors, not more and not less and like in ACD's story it was just respect and admiration.
Sherlock Holmes together with a woman would be out of character for him and contradict the original canon who says Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson and this for over 130 years.

That's why she needed Sherlock and Molly for her "game" to see how emotions work on people.

Love how everyone says Molly deserves better, but at the end of the day, all she has ever wanted was for Sherlock to love her back.
To know that he loves her would make her the happiest person. She doesn’t need someone better, because Sherlock *is* better in her eyes. She understands him, she knows it’s not easy for him, and despite him hurting her, she still continues to love him because that’s who she wants. She could never want anyone better, because he is everything to her.

"All those complicated little emotions" indeed. No matter how that phone call ended up going, it was bound to be an emotional trap... Because it's not really a secret that she really does love him, and of course that's not going to be an easy admission for him to get her to make in 3 minutes... and it's a cruel thing to make her just casually say those words to him when she's had such a longstanding, seemingly unrequited crush on him.
But when she made him say it out loud first, then he was really forced into a corner... either he lets her die (which he can't and won't do) or he hurts her by saying something that isn't true (normally, he wouldn't feel so guilty for saving her life, but this bothers him...), or he is forced to say something which is actually true. and hurt himself by admitting that he feels love for Molly ("if it's true just say it anyway"). Whichever way he sees it, his response is telling... he is experiencing deep feelings. Because of Molly. And that was the point of this trap.
Personally, I think it makes the most sense if he knew, deep down, that he has always had a carefully hidden soft spot for Molly that makes him uncomfortable... and this moment merely presses upon a wound he has let fester. And suddenly he realizes he cares more than he thought.
And my word this video does a pristine job showing the whole dynamic.

@@silanor248 I also thought Sherlolly was there at first, but as I watched the seasons, and read the argument of some commentators, I can no longer see that. And here this season and this scene, it's proven that Sherlock loves Molly just as a friend.

Soledad thank you for saying that! I have just discovered a deep new found hunger for all things Sherlock. As far as I am concerned they are together now. As we speak. And Sherlock is finally happy. I'm not discounting Molly, she has always loved him so she's in heaven.

@@DeborahWalkerXOXO They joy between them? Sherlock and Molly are not looking at each other. Molly enters the living room for a visit at Bakerstreet and Sherlock plays the violin with his sister. How can you not see that? They are not together. It's only a tracking shot.
Did you not listen to Moffat? She will get over it, she is going on with her life. And it's stated that Molly was only for one reason in the series to show that Sherlock is not interested in women. Moffats words in an interview from 2013, not mine.
Categorically the best Sherlock/Molly video I've seen, and I've basically spent the last week/three years watching them obsessively! This is so powerful and just completely heartbreaking... We NEED a Season 5 just so we can see him make it up to her and actually realise how much he loves her so they can be together. They're meant for each other. He needs her to call him out when he's being cold and unnecessarily cruel, and to show him that caring isn't a weakness, it's actually his greatest strength.

I think Sherlock might actually really like Molly. He, I think, does all of the things a guy would do that liked a girl. He is very good at hiding it. She shows up in his thoughts when he's dying. He does get very jealous around her boyfriends. He tells her she shouldn't find another boyfriend. He teases her and tells her how glad he is she broke up with her fiance. When she shows up at Christmas dressed up, u notice all of the guys react. Sherlock does it by pretty much attacking Molly with his words. He is admitting she looks beautiful. They have an odd kindda relationship. He doesn't want other guys coming in and ruining it and taking away her attention from him. What do u all think???

I've been watching this video over and over again.It was this that opened my eyes to the tender and innocent feelings of Molly and Sherlock, which were silent in the series on the run of the fourth season, but which were evident in the actions of Hooper and Holmes ' views. this is absolutely BRILLIANT and had me drown in a glass case of emotion!! so powerful, so many emotions depicted, and most of all, Sherlock's love for Molly, the one thing one would not expect to see from this sociopath, yet there it is, making itself known when he least expects it! Yes why you don't expect to see that!? Already thought about the fact Sherlock isn't a "sociopath" at all? Sherlock only called himself "sociopath" as his own kind of self-protection because he was probably too often hurt and bullied in the past.
The famous remark of a so-called "high functioning sociopath" was never meant serious, only sarcastic, it's stated. Noone can define himself about ASPD. Do your research, please.

The song is perfect for Sherlock & Molly and has been my favorite since the first time I heard it.
You have an amazing talent since you were able to summarize their entire relationship in 3:50 minutes.
I especially loved how you used the voice-overs, the parallels with the lyrics and scene transitions.

Мы, как зрители, не всегда видим то, что спрятано чуточку глубже. We see, but do not observe. Шерлок как горделивый мальчишка, до последнего не хотел признать правду. Ибо больше всего он не любит проигрывать. Особенно, все что касается сантиментов и чувств. Он же Великий Шерлок Холмс, кто может быть умнее и прозорливее его?
А еще мне безумно понравился выбор песни и как ты смогла обыграть ее строчки.
