Wow! It is the sheer scale of the place that is truly impressive and it is perhaps only when we see one of England's Cathedrals that we can, today, even start to understand just how important and powerful the church was in centuries past. Loved the cloister windows, the little chapels and those recumbent stone effigies look poised to sit up and come to life at any moment. The automatic glass door made me smile as it seems so alien to the rest of the surroundings. Despite the grandeur of the Cathedral itself, that tower/gatehouse with passageway, that we see just before you go inside, perhaps appeals to me most. Something about the juxtaposition of the adjacent buildings. Whilst grand in and of itself, quite humble next to the Cathedral. Thank you for the interesting film xxx

Hi, I recently discovered that John Still Bishop of Bath and Wells is my 13th great grandfather. I visited Wells the other day before I knew who he was. Was quite a spontaneous trip and was late so did not go in the cathedral. Since I have learnt who this man is to me I want to go back and explore the cathedral for myself. I believe the effigy of John Still Bishop of Bath and Wells is at 19 minutes and 19 seconds into the video. Thank you for sharing

Hi I’m just wondering what time did you go to the cathedral for it to be this empty? Thanks great video
