Unknown Maoli Banana, Kauai Hawaii

First time ever grown in civilization, this unusual banana has repeatedly behaved like this example. Closest description of a thought to be extinct maoli banana is the "PUHI" or "eel like". The bananas were said to curl around them selves when they are young. Maybe "into" then selves is more like it?

Maybe, but don't trust the names from nurseries! Maolis can be sourced from Florida, and Tongan bananas can be very close in quality also. I could sell pups but it would be pricey and they stand a chance of falling to local banana diseases. Aloha!

I am also looking for Kava Kava Awa plants.
We are about to put up tall hightunnels for banana production.
The heating cost will be minimal.
I see it as part of the future of Agriculture here in the South East.
