Thanks! I use Synthesia. I put my MIDI files there and edit the colors and then I export it using the Synthesia Video Maker. I then just use a video editor to include the better piano audio with the video.

Great work, can I ask if you know what key/mode this is in? My caveman-level music theory tells me it's A (or E? idk), but I certainly don't know what mode it is (or what a mode really is for that matter lol, just want to find what scale I can play over it)

I also wasn't quite sure with the modes! To put it simply, it's pretty much in the key of A major. But I think there are some borrowed chords from the different modes, for example there's an F major in this song - but there's no F major in the A major scale. So maybe it was borrowed from other modes? I'm not 100% correct about this hahaha but yeah let's just say it's in A major :P (The song basically borrows chords from other keys outside of A major)
Also to put it simply, modes are basically just different scale patterns. Certain modes give off different kinds of textures and characteristics. For example, the Lydian mode sounds kind of magical and "light". The Aeolian mode is basically the minor scale and it gives a "scary" or sorrow kind of feel. The Mixolydian scale is goofy for me. I think they're worth trying out!
