In this video you’re going to learn how to use the INDEX/MATCH function combination in Excel and a few reasons why it’s much better than VLOOKUP.
We’re going to start with how to use INDEX/MATCH vertically - or using columns.
Then we’ll see how to use INDEX/MATCH horizontally - or using rows.
Then we’ll do a combination of both so you can use INDEX/MATCH with multiple criteria, which is one of the main reasons why it’s so great to use.
And at the end of the video I’ll show you how to use Data Validation so you don’t have to keep typing in the values you want to look up.

All videos are shot in 1080p HD my friend. If it's fuzzy it's yout internet speed or RUclips settings that are to blame.
