Thailand is a motorcycle country. Most people have a motorcycle to get around. Children learn to ride motorcycles at an early age. Whole families ride on one motorcycle. In the countryside many drive a saleng, a motorcycle with a side cart.
The saleng is versatile in use. Everything is transported with the saleng. It is used as a freight bus by workmen. Sometimes loads that are much too large, much too long and much too heavy are transported.
