The use the same type of wooden bikes/scooters in parts of Africa and I have even seen much larger versions that when loaded down must be 1000's of kg but can still be handled on flat roads by one person... Human ingenuity at its finest!
That does not make any sense at all! If the world ends then we are ALL in the same boat. After billions of years already, I would not worry about the world ending anytime soon!

Very amazing people are build their own transportation with out law and still use full on the road . when I was a kid in 1963, I build my own scooter like 9:22 and 13:47 , but it small just enough one person rid on a round the village, I did not think these toys still a life up to now, I think the most Asian countries new how to build these scooters back than, thank for share 🙏👍👍.
I've had quite a few different bikes. Suzuki M109, Harley VRod Night Hawk, a few custom choppers. The thing that always annoyed me was keeping all that chrome clean. When I moved to SE Asia, I got an old Honda dream and had a blast. I did get a bigger Honda SH, but I still love my little modified Honda dream. There are some guys who make some chopped ones from scrap that are amazing. To me they are more fun than all the heavy bikes. We'll they're not nearly as fast but a lot less to care for. If you scratch it, it's not a big deal. Just fun!
@@ItsDaJax the first builds use the Vespa design, though it has been copied, stolen, and reissued a thousand times since they were invented. 2-stroke, compact, powerful with 150cc standard, built-in transmission, no chains or belt drives, attached to an integral swing arm, if you can run the cables to control it, you can mount it pretty much anywhere!
I find what you're doing with those scooters. Very cool if I could do it here in the states. I would do it. But they have too many rules and regulations and prevent you from having fun. And it's all on the way of them making money and keeping you from having fun.

Calm down brothers. Both The Philippines and Indonesia are brothers and sisters separated by the west. The fact that Mindanao and Manila were founded by my forefathers from Minangkabau Sumatra Indonesia long before Spaniards came, that's why there are so many similarities between Bahasa Indonesia and Tagalog.
First clip indonesia, in 2 clip its the video not from indonesia (althought indonesia have those same concept) but the video are not from indo, in third clip 3 is not from indonesia lol its africa
What I admire about these places is lack of regulations. I made a mini-bike, took it out for a first test ride, ready to cross the road into the trails, cop stopped me, told me to take it back home. They want people to drive less cars? Let people drive other things around town.
Maybe you didn't notice that where you live it's nothing like the rural Phillippines or Indonesia, or The Congo. And if you ever have a grown child who loses their life due to the unregulated Chevy that flattens them, suddenly SOME regulations become a wee bit more important. There's a good reason minibikes aren't allowed on public roads.
I guess Indonesian traffic laws are easy on home-made vehicles, but if in Vietnam we make something like this and drive it on public road it'll be illegal due to safety and environmental violations penalties. If you visit VN and saw a lot of motorbike carry heavy stuffs that doesn't means it legal, the drivers usually did it because he knew that road well with less traffic police presence. 😁😁😁
I am impressed. I hold 5 patents (electromechanical and hydraulic inventions) but I would be out of my depth with these guys if we were dumped on a deserted island.
I like the fact they're using old parts to make something new. Recycling at its finest. Also, they treat their rides far better than teenage Ferrari drivers😂
Flipping vespa 😂 it went a long way that little two-wheeler. Just finished the 2WW Piaggio converted its production from military (mostly airplanes) to civil (transport on wheels). First Vespa engines, before becoming scooter engines, where designed to be handheld starter motors for prop planes

I bet they have more enjoyment and pride in those machines than the average Porsche owner.
They may be poor about money, but they have a better life than most of us in the US.
