The problem is with the effed-up control of the WWE at the hands of Vinny Mac.
Triple H talking about talent and the wheel not stopping is Spin-doctoring B. S.
Steve Austin, The Undertaker, hell Hunter himself to name the pinnacle of the sports entertainment is sufficient as evidence of how a talent can be a miserable failure due to the company who uses them, in this case WCW.
And before Vinny's supporters reach the point of orgasm, when a company faces ZERO formidable competition of equal footing, the outcome is the current WWE product.
Back then, Vince was striving tooth and nail to survive, let alone flourish and it was here where he could not feed filth to the audience and use talent as fap+boi$.
The arrogance and taking for granted had dissipated before buying out competition and defecating continously on the audience then onwards.

I'm glad that we're at a point where these wrestling companies can remain amicable and respectful when one of their talent decides that it's just time to move on and try other things, rather than being bitterly spiteful and petty toward them. It shows that the landscape of the business has changed quite a bit in the last 30 years, and that there's more of an emphasis on being accommodating toward a wrestler's needs and desires for themselves as a person rather than simply treating them as a product to be sold.

Wwe expressing a negative view would be inviting the whole "aew vs wwe feuding!!!" Narrative, which solely benefits AEW. Wwe acting like it doesn't care is the smart and right move, very well maybe completely honest as well. They don't care about "the little guy" aka aew, and rightfully so

@@jackburton2680 I love AEW but they have a LONG way to go before they even can compete with WWE. It gets annoying how they're always punching up on WWE, but you can understand why they need to do it as a smaller company. I just wish they hadn't lost the vision they started with. The ladder system was great and now it's gone, and now TK's conservative booking and trying to not make anyone look weak especially now with a lot of ex WWE guys coming over. Seems like they're just trying to make everyone in the locker room happy, but it doesn't put on quality stuff for the fans. This was handled so well by Triple H.

But I love aew because it's always something new every week and everyone over there is thriving you can tell it will get better at least better then other wrestling companies and that's what I like. If Christian went back to Impact, Edge would have went there too. If Christian went somewhere like NJPW or MLW or NWA, Edge would have went to any of them as well. He left on good terms, which is honestly all that matters. That’s the big take away from this. I don’t think Edge held any animosity towards the company itself or anyone in it, I just think that Edge knew he wasn’t getting any younger and the time for him to hang his boots up for good is coming soon. I think that right now, Edge is just on his farewell tour, marking things off his career bucket list. It’s likely that the only reason he went to AEW instead of just retiring in WWE is to end his career with his buddy Christian. If Christian wasn’t there it’s probable that Edge would’ve went ahead and retired. But he felt that he still had more to do, and that required him to go to AEW. Once he ends his career for good, I foresee him coming back to WWE to make appearances on occasion.

It's awfully weird how so many people seem to think that there is this massive drama behind the scenes when a talent leaves a company and goes somewhere else. Edge has been with WWE for 25 yrs and what is the one thing that is constant in the entertainment business as time goes by? Change. WWE is under new ownership which changes the way they do business. They likely gave Edge a number and Edge made the best business decision that was in front of him. Disagreement over a number based on one's value doesn't mean that there are hard feelings or disrespect. It only means that Edge is going to do something else that is best for him as he closes in on retirement as a performer and that is perfectly fine because he will ALWAYS be WWE.

On the other hand he still brings a ton of value, has gas in the tank - and is a real *asset* in AEW - where he can continue his career - stay at the same level - have lots of interesting new stuff to do and make great money doing it. Made sense for everyone involved - sometimes it's hard, but saying goodbye for now is the best thing for everybody.
