When you talked about pushing your elbow forward and then dragging back you replicated Bob Brown's philosophy of pinky and pointer attacks. Push your elbow forward to make your arm and hand more perpendicular with the opponent and in turn you rise, when you drag back kind of low if you refer to using your arm kind of like a crowbar in the opponent's hand you will open up their pinky, if you do that as you surge you will rise and compromise their cup. Of course if the opponent does the same thing now you're in a battle for the hand. That's how Michael Todd pulls.
