I used to watch this when I was 9 I’m now 17 almost 18 and still absolutely love this video sometimes I watch it when I’m stressed or having a bad day just to distract myself and calm down
I like how most of the tools you’re using are things most people have in their kitchens anyway. It shows true skill & creativity. Thankyou, liked & subscribed.
Wow. I came here to brush up as I need to make a princess cake in a couple weeks... Noticed that I already watched and liked the video, then realized I watched it over 2 years ago!! Funny how things work out. Good video, enjoyed watching it as much as the first time :)
WOW! thats SO cool to make the tower from the tin can!! thank you for sharing that trick :). i love your cake. my daughter is turning 4 and im looking at cakes for her. i watched part two first and when she saw this cake her eyes just LIT UP :). beautiful cake for a little princess :)
Hi Meriam Kiswani - Are you referring to the Pink sugarpaste/fondant icing we have used to cover the cake? We have used our own brand of Sattina sugarpaste, see here - www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/products/Sattina-Candy-Floss-Pink-Sugarpaste.htm Hope this helps!
+ Cake Craft World I am thinking to make this cake for my cousins birthday. I was thinking for the larger cake to use a 10 inch cake dummie that costs about 5-6 euro. I wanted to know how much this cake cost to make, just so I can clear up some things in my mind(if that makes sence:-) ). I also want to know if the 10 inch cake dummie is worth it or if I should just use an other cake. if it is, is it the right size, or should I use a 12 inch? What kind of frosting do you use? I usually use American buttercream (one batch is for 12 to 15 cupcakes). How many batches will I need? Whould appreciate it if you replied... Keep up the good job!
+Wafa Ahmed Hi there, once you have covered your cake in sugarpaste/fondant, the cake should be fine for the next day, just keep it in a standard cake box (not an air tight box). It shouldn't need to go in the fridge (depending what cake or icing you have used). Hope this helps.
i made this today for my grand-daughters 2nd birthday, ive never made anything like this but the video was so detailed i had to have a go, so me and my daughter did it and it turned out amazing, thank you
+Jackie Torres Hi there, as long as you use an edible glue, this is fine to eat! Have a look here - www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/products/Super-Strength-Edible-Glue-by-Rainbow-Dust.htm Thanks
Hi. Love your cake!. want to make for my daughter. I have been told that if I don't put a cake board on supports between the two big layers of the cake that mine will sag over night and ruin the appearance of the cake. ?? what are your thoughts and how could i minimize the risk of that happening?. Thanks
Hi Louise Brooker, the cake is beautiful.. As for cake support, how are you able to keep the bottom cake tier from collapsing due to the weight from the top? In the US we insert dowels or extra large straws in the bottom tier and place the top part on cake boards then attach them to the bottom tier right where the dowels are inserted.
Lovely cake!! Although something really really bothered me 😅 I’m a pastry chef who makes a LOT of stacked cakes and you certainly need to put some thick straws or cake dowels in the cake layers or the weight will destroy the bottom!!! Maybe she already did this (though it would be obvious on the top of the tier) but I really hope next time they do!
Wold you lern me how to make that cake I love It what ingredients do you need to make it you Are a sooper star you are perfict to go in a makeing Cakes contest WOW
My problem is getting bubbles under the fondant hours after the cake is done. I've done all the tricks and I still get them. Nothing worse than having a beautiful cake, and then having a huge bubble form during the night.
This is a common problem but here are a few suggestions from us - When covering the cake, be really careful that you don't catch any air under the icing and flatten any bubbles out straight away otherwise they can get bigger! For example when covering - lay the icing onto your cake, flatten the top with your hands or a smoother then work outwards even lifting the icing up and laying it against the cake as you go to ensure no air bubbles get caught. If you can see an air bubble, prick the icing (make a tiny hole) with a cocktail stick, press the air out and smooth over. Please let us know how you get on! Thanks.
Beautiful cake, but my OCD would never let me make this. Unless I got one of those brick molds for gumpaste. Just seeing an uneven line would drive me batty. lol
You could use a brick texture sheet, see here www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/products/Texture-Sheet-Brickwork.htm or www.cakecraftworld.co.uk/shop/products/id/CUL86254.htm
