The best part is the fact the music cuts out.
Strikers didn’t fully live up to p5 and royal but I will say they were REALLY good at making every villain be an emotional gut punch, the jails arising from trauma instead of desires really pushed that viewpoint, the game’s ability to make you think about these villains is really strong and not something that even p5 didn’t always get out of you (villains like kaneshiro come to mind who has about as much depth as a puddle), konoe, a murderer, an expiring dictator who would make daddy shido proud, sucker punched my emotions by saying that the thieves could never save him, it changed the perspective drastically, and showed you that the smirking jackass in front of you is a broken man who never grew up from a scared child

You can clearly see how much Konoe is traumatized once the veteran newscaster told him about if a bad event occured to him since he is so willing to fight against the evils of the world. It truly destroys my heart with sadness😭

I didn't have (luckily) abusive parents, but I have emphatized with him, and his character is my favorite since I finished his arc story.
He's the only monarch that made me really cry, his trauma, after battle and his confession.
But it's not truly his fault, his past and EMMA did their part.
What he did was wrong but at that time he didn't have any choice, it was a life or death moment (else he would've been dead now). He is the first monarch ever, so he imprisoned himself in order to act for doing good (that it was his true intention, when he said he didn't want anyone to suffer, he was saying it with all his heart, he HAS the kind heart, but his twisted justice instead made him doing evil, making himself a victim for the second time, he needed to be saved again, but this time he couldn't do it alone like with his father).
He really deserves better in future, I am glad he's saved by the PT, but I'm pissed because Ichinose, the one who started it all, is free (even tho she tried to turn into the police, but still unfair) but Konoe and the other monarchs aren't...
I hope for a next game, where he is free, happy and maybe fighting together with the PT, now that is heart is in the right path, he could awake a Persona, fighting for the true justice he always seeked for♥️

I agree that Konoe did some terrible things but he had good intentions and killing his father was clearly self-defense. Don’t you agree that he was in a kill or be killed situation?
Personally, I don’t think he should be charged for that crime. I think Zenkichi should say something along the lines of “Alright Konoe, I can make a deal with you. I can ask the commissioner to lessen your sentence if you cooperate with us. If you rat out Owada and give us all the intel on his crimes, I will consider it. Then you will be a hero to Japan, save lives, and give justice to my wife. Then, once you are released, you will start fresh and new as a true hero. A win-win offer, I assure you. And I will forgive you for making Akane a monarch.”
