What's the size of the bag mate? I'm after a bag for fishing where I could catch up to 30kg tuna, cobia or kingfish. I need something like this for hauling meat back to the car. I know the PRO 3600 bag is made from 500d material whereas the Pro LT 4000 is from 300d. Do you think the harness can take up to 45kg of total weight? I know the website says the harness can take up to 150lbs which is about 68kg, but I'll rather trust someone that has hauled a deent weight before. How did it feel with 38kg of load as you mentioned in this video? I was looking at buying a Unaweep 4800 bag from Seek Outdoors which claims its integrated frame can take up to 200lbs+ of weight, but it lacks pockets. Also are these Kuiu bags waterproof or come with rain covers?
I think the harness could handle 45kg. 38kg felt good. They are more water resistant, but I always carry one of the rain covers, (I’m paranoid about getting my gear wet)
@@Beardandgun I think an inner waterproof bag from Sea to Summit is a good option for you if you're concerned about getting your gear wet. I find this is even better than a rain cover albeit using both is probably the best option. What size is your Kuiu bag. It looks small but you're a big fella haha. I'm only 5ft9 but a 100kgs.
Hey mate cheers for the review. I have a 4000 Lt and was looking at getting a Pro 6000 or 7800. Do you find the 6000 big enough for week long trips? What would you recommend? Pro 6000 or 7800?
I’ve just done 7 days in a 7000Lt, could of probably done it in the 6000 without my camera shit. Personally I’d look at the weight difference between what your looking at and decide if the increase in weight is worth the extra space
@@Beardandgun Cheers. It's hard to know since there isn't a lot of weight difference between the packs. If you were to buy again would you still stick with the 6000 for your larger pack? or go with something bigger like the 7000 Lt with it being about 600gms lighter than the 6000.
How are they performing under heavy loads over 30kg and how are they handling NZ bush? What's the experience like after using for almost a year?? If they are still performing the same? Thanks
More comfortable than my old tatonka on the heavy loads. But I generally try stay under 30kg with meat. No problems so far with rips or tears. Not long back from a 7day backpack trip and it was awesome
Thanks and much appreciate your feedback. It really helps in a way to make a choice, especially when it is a overseas brand with no distributor here in NZ.
My mate just got one recently and I managed to have a look up close. Bloody impressed alright. So many other
top knotch options other then Tatonka 👌
Do you get water seepage trough the inverted zippers ?
Great review thanks ..
i havent had that happen, but when its raining im pretty quick to put the rain cover on

@@slyarsenal I mainly use the 4000lt that’s usually big enough for a weekend hunting, umm I’m
5.11 and about 95kg
We're do you buy these from? Is it direct off internet or is there a shop?
Direct off the internet. There is a shop in California but yeah… takes about a week and a half delivery at the moment
First Lite and EXO Gear for life!
Hopefully we will get a chance to compare 🤷🏼♂️

@@du9319 no dramas mate, if you got any specific questions hit me up on Instagram or fb and can/will send ya videos of the packs etc etc
Never have a light source directly behind you while filming. WAY harder to see well.
Yeahhhh
