My theory - That version of Ross that was broken out of the van was already swapped out for a Skrull soon as he was detained since Val is also a skrull.

With Ross on the run after Black Panther, it’s kind of strange how he can suddenly find him allowed in so deep again…. Which says to me that either the ending of Wakanda Forerver was a bluff, and that was him being taken hostage rather than saved… and that means Val must be involved in this some how, so to keep that he is a wanted man on the quiet. I suspect they will clear it up by the end of the series, as I suspect Ross will show up in Armour Wars

I just hope that Sharon Carter is a skrull and we see her rescued as well by the end of this series. I really hated the turn of her character in the Falcon and the Winter Soldier series and it'd also make sense that she was a skrull given her proximity to the US government by the end of that show.
I think prior to Black Panther 2, Ross was a real person. Val says they were divorced, and i believe this was the reason why. Ross must've changed after being captured by the Skrulls, leading to the divorce, and it also explains why he seemed to not really care about the divorce itself. It would also explain why he was so gung-ho about helping Wakanda and getting on their goodside, despite being a lifer in the CIA.
Can help but think of that one series of Dr Who with Matt Smith in which the Dr jumps about within his own timeline so there are two Dr's within one episode. Not that I'm saying there's two of every character, just that I'm guessing at the end of the series, there's a breakdown of what we thought we saw, and who those characters were, is revealed as different to who we thought. Case in point is the simple chase scene in the first episode, Fury and Talos are questioning the Artist, Hill chases the suspect (G'iah) as soon as she catches her, there's Talos(?)
Haven’t the Skrulls only been on Earth 30 years? Everett Ross is older than 30 so I don’t believe a Skrull copied him when he was a baby and grew up. Most likely, as you say, he was duplicated while on the run.
Something to think about.. What if... Val is a Skrull and when Ross was arrested he was Skrull snatched and put in a pod, and that's when the Skrull Ross took his place? Val could have staged his arrest knowing the Wakandans would rescue him and then the imposter could infiltrate Fury's operation. If Val is a Skrull that means John Walker and Yolena could easily be compromised too.
I don’t think Walker and Yelena can be skrulls, to be honest. Both characters seem like they’ll be vital members of the Thunderbolts, from what we know, and Yelena especially seems like she’s got a larger role in the future of the MCU. Throwing that away to make them skrulls doesn’t seem like Marvel’s logical endgame.
I like the idea that Val is a Skrull, she was copied during her marriage with Ross, leading to their divorce. She arrests him in Wakandan Forever, has him copied and then allows him to be freed by the Wakandans.

Since when did Ross (C.I.A. agent) get in contact with Hill and Fury (S.H.I.E.L.D. agents)? He easily asks for an extract like he's been in the group since day 1. Also, why did Prescod call Ross? What was the chain of command/common factor between them?
The invasion likely didn't begin until after the Blip. Talos wasn't kicked off the Skrull council until after Fury left to go to Saber and it is likely the invasion didn't begin until Gravik took over the council. So Ross would have not been a Skrull until atleast after Endgame. Whether it was before or after Wakanda Forever is anyone's guess at the moment. The director said in regards to Ross that all will be revealed by the finale. I take this to mean that we will likely see the real Ross after the Skrull invaders are defeated and all the humans that they are posing as are freed.
To think that Gravik and the gang started after the blip, we can safe to say, before the blip there are no skrull impostors, aside from "good skrulls" under fury. So, likely Agent hobbit, i mean ross, also replaced after the blip. The Ross at Wakanda Forever might be faux too

For one in black panther , when he was shot he would have turned back into a skrull as he was slowly dying cos skrulls revert back to normal when dying. Two, in black panther wakanda Forever he talks about his long history with Val, their marriage and divorce etc which a skrull wouldn't know or be able to talk about cos skrulls only have access to very recent memories. I think the thing on WandaVision about the lost astronauts in space will come full circle. Gravick has powers like Mr. Fantastic in the previews and not like groot. I feel we will finally get a Fantastic 4 things happening. Not sure if we will see them yet but I think we haven’t because they were lost in space and became Skrulls.

The skrulls chose the power plant for its high radiation because humans couldn’t live there but are the host human bodies being negatively affected by the radiation though?
Perhaps they have them underground enough and shielded enough? Depends how bad the radiation is, if it's just topside and minimal then it's not safe to live at but safe to be around, but then take them below ground and it's safe to live.
that makes perfect sense the bad skrulls would kid nap and take back to the victory room who ever they got and in this episode Ross is found out to be a bad skrull who had the body of Ross so it makes sense that they captured him and the one that died was the one that did the ol switcharoo with Ross and he is being held in the old Russian nuclear plant and Talos took Ross's form right before the bad skrull who obviously cant jump far enough died
I'm giving the show a shot. But many things really got under my skin about the show. instead of having the agent at the start freaking out about the bombings, they could have had it be voice over as they showed footage of the attacks. Show, don't tell is preferable. When the skrull that was copying Ross dies, just like others time and time again, only the body changes, not the clothing.... but when the warrior copies the guy, he manifests a hat and morphs the clothing too. When fury and co. are reacting before and after the bombing, they tried to be clever by having the transformations out of line of sight, but that's implying that NOBODY notices the changes from other perspectives. It's dumb and takes out of immersion. I hope they do a little better in the sense of presenting material that adds up consistently.
What if the Sharon Carter we see in Falcon & the Winter Soldier is a skrull. While it does make sense why she’d become disillusioned of the hero gig after helping them only to be abandoned by them. But being a black market type arms dealer (to put it lightly) just isn’t like her. She’d never stop feeling the guilt of straying from the creed/ honor that is her family. Peggy being her aunt/ main influence in her life would weigh on her too much.

Anyone who saw him get shot would have seen his disguise fade, though I guess they could explain it away without immediately leaping to ALIEN!

As much as I want Everett Ross to come back I highly suspect he won't because Martin Freeman is only listed on IMDb for one episode. Hopefully, it's a case of Marvel keeping secrets and maybe just not giving him credit for any other episodes but I have my doubts.
I usually agree with Ryan Arey and he also had a great video about this. Yet great theory but I disagreed with him for the first time in awhile. You can give him shit and say you’re right because I agree with you on this haha. The Wakandans would have known he was a Skull with they're advanced technology. Most Skulls can mimic exact DNA of a person. Especially during the medical stuff. When a Skull is injured or knocked out that go back to their original form as well. They would have known for sure. I think he's still alive and recently became a skull.
Isn't it great they closed a loop with Hill? Soren disguised as her in Far From Home, then got killed by the rebel skrulls according to Talos, then now Hill is also killed by the rebels.

Ross is aline and it was an imposter. However, you don't have to age as an imposter. Talos didn't age a day from the Marvels up to the present day. So you can be "40" for decades if you wish.
In the comics nobody knew that Skrulls had invaded not Even Professor X cause the Skrulls in disguise themselves didn’t knew they were Skrulls! They were brainwashed into thinking they are the person they were copying!!

checkout the start of the credits, Smulders and Freeman were special guest stars at the start, rather than as part of the main cast. So, any appearance in the for Freeman would also also be a guest appearance
I just hate that they copy even the clothing. It makes it even look cheap. Only if their clothes are part of their organism would this make sense for me.

As much as I want Everett Ross to come back I highly suspect he won't because Martin Freeman is only listed on IMDb for one episode. Hopefully, it's a case of Marvel keeping secrets and maybe just not giving him credit for any other episodes but I have my doubts.

The Wakandans would have known he was a Skull with they're advanced technology. Most Skulls can mimic exact DNA of a person. Especially during the medical stuff. When a Skull is injured or knocked out that go back to their original form as well. They would have known for sure.

Ross is aline and it was an imposter. However, you don't have to age as an imposter. Talos didn't age a day from the Marvels up to the present day. So you can be "40" for decades if you wish.

checkout the start of the credits, Smulders and Freeman were special guest stars at the start, rather than as part of the main cast. So, any appearance in the for Freeman would also also be a guest appearance
I just hate that they copy even the clothing. It makes it even look cheap. Only if their clothes are part of their organism would this make sense for me.
