Thanks for the review. Wonderful to have such a detailed mechanical look at this turret. I like how you mentioned how loosening the collet can unscrew the base. That particular style of EP clamp (shared by numerous other manufacturers) is too "sticky". Baader's Click-Lock is much better in this regard. Can you test stray light rejection by shining a flashlight into one of the three unused eyepieces? This was a problem noted by others at least in early production models, possibly due to the difficulty of shielding the prism without painting all of its non-optical surfaces flat black.
Kuan Ju Liu You're very welcomed! When I tightened the two that got loose with the strap wrench I no longer had any issues. I will have to check on the "stray light" sometime. In use with the four eyepieces in there was no issues with stray light.
@@starastronomer Thanks. I think the trouble with stray light arises if a light enters one of the unused eyepieces and lights up the prism from the side. It should be testable indoors in the dark.
The only problem with the TAK turret is that it doesn’t play well with some undercut eyepieces as you clearly noted. I wish the rest of the tAK could be paired with the Baader quikloc eyepiece holders…

Nice looking turret !!!
Hello Hypersphere Engineering.
I’m tempted to get RAF to machine me adapters to put Baader click stops on my TAK. For planets having quick parfocal change is great.
Who is RAF?

Yes, this is the one🎉❤
Indeed...
Now I need a cloud filter. Normally clear New Mexico has been cloudy since March 2022…😢
Wow, that's a long stretch! We all could use that filter Geoffrey.
