@@abis1688 last time I checked it was the Serbian government that was responsible for destroying UNESCO sites across the Balkans to make way for their illegal orthodox churches. The ‘churches’ your referring to were illegally built on private land and they were ‘fast-build’ projects which is why they were all falling apart and incomplete. The best example is the church in Prishtina university which stands out like a sore thumb and was illegally built on the universities land. There is no such thing as ‘Albanian colonisation’ as you cannot colonise land which you are native to. Serbs on the other hand migrated to Europe in the 7th century from Russia and have since colonised all but the southern Balkans.

@@izzieanddale Metohija is the western and southern part of today's Kosovo. The name Metohija is due to the large number of metochs (metochs are property that each church or monastery owned)
Prizren belongs to Metohija, while for example Pristina is in Kosovo
Today, Albanians avoid calling a part of their country Metohija precisely because it has to do with monasteries and churches and Serbs, and we all know that Albanians do not like any of the above (Albanians destroyed and burned them in 1999 and 2004).

    Interesting facts
    - 5:49, this mosque was going to be transformed into an serbian ortodox church but they prevented this to happen by transforming the mosque into a museum for some time.
    - 7:08 This ortodox church has huge probabilities to be an Albanian ortodox church, hopefully one day they will check the graves behind the church and proof that, unfortunately our city isn't interested in it, but the locals of Prizren stated that that church is Albanian and ortodox.
    - 9:17 In this fortress there was a mosque, but serbs destroyed it during Jugoslavian time, I don't remember to have ever seen a mosque into a castle, so it would have been cool if it remained.

It is a Serbian Orthodox Church, you were accurate in your description of this beautiful place of worship. Kind wishes.

    • @komnina99
      @komnina99 7 месяцев назад

@@izzieanddale above, the person in question lied to you about everything, so there is no need to thank them for the info.
The first thing, he avoided saying that the Sinan Pasin mosque, which was built in 1615, used stone taken from the monastery of the Holy Archangels near Prizren, which was built by Emperor Stefan Dusan in 1352.
Also, the Serbs never turned mosques into churches because it was impossible due to the shape and interior, so he was right there.
Another lie is that there were some Albanian monasteries in Kosovo. They have only recently been trying to trick tourists who don't know that the Albanians demolished those monasteries in 1999 and 2004. The most important Serbian monasteries are protected by UNESCO precisely because they are in danger from the Albanians who hate them.
In short, the next time you go to Kosovo, study the history at home if you want from independent and objective sources, there is no point in listening to Albanians who try in every way to support their statehood and therefore invent a large part of history which then becomes pseudo-history.

1214, in the time of Stefan Nemanjić [3], a city in the Serbian medieval state and became an economic and spiritual center. During the reign of King Milutin, Prizren (Prizren) became the most important trading place in Serbia. The town of Bistrica became economically stronger, especially during the reign of King Milutin, Tsar Dusan and Tsar Uroš. At that time, Prizren also minted its own money. The most important historical monuments from that period are the Serbian medieval heritage, the church of the Mother of God Ljeviska and the monastery complex of the Holy Archangels, the endowment of Tsar Dusan.
Occasionally, Prizren was also the capital of emperors Dušan and Uroš. At the castle of these emperors, their charters were issued and preserved in Prizren and Ribnik, which represent a testimony to the stay of Serbian rulers in the 14th century. At that time, merchants from Dubrovnik and Kotor settled in Prizren, and famous fairs (fairs) began to be organized there, on the days of great religious holidays.
The city of Prizren was ruled by a mullet who was always a Serb, while the square was ruled by a prince who, as a rule, was from the coastal cities of Dubrovnik and Kotor. The medieval population of Prizren was diverse and the majority at that time were Serbs, but there were also people from Dubrovnik, Korcula, Vlachs, Venetians, Greeks, Saxons and Arbanasi. They usually lived in colonies. The largest colony consisted of the people of Dubrovnik. Travelers of that time called Prizren "imperial city" and "imperial capital", and in folk epic songs it is referred to as "Serbian Constantinople".
After the death of Emperor Dušan, Prizren was ruled by King Vukašin and held from 1362 to 1371. King Marko ruled Prizren until 1372, and Balšići from 1372 to 1376....

@@roshiroshi1240 They sure as hell did not find many albanians considering the very first mention of these people is around 11th century. Even better, according to Ottoman census there were about 4 albanian families in the northern parts around their conquest. So for people that have such a short history, from 11th century if you accept Principality of Arbanon, whose language has been standardizen only in the last 100 years, whose first writting/book is in 15th century - you sure do not have any right to say anything to Serbians and their lands considering they have history much longer than yours.
