I’ve taken to using FSD do all my driving. It’s great. I know some of you are thinking “I can drive my car. Why pay 8k more for FSD. Here’s a benefit I don’t think you’ve considered. Since I’ve been using FSD my wife has stopped telling me how to drive. At first she transferred to telling the car how to drive but it just ignores her and she’s given that up now. We’re both happier now. When this becomes understood there will be millions of men maybe billions world wide trying to get one of these cars. 😊
My wife never tells me how to drive. She's smart enough to know that I'm a great driver and she's awful. I hope you guys love your FSD. I'm not paying $40k+ for a premium vehicle, and then not driving it. The only way I'll ever use it is if I become disabled.
25 years is a great window. Some people that say “I care about THIS YEAR” must be idiots. Let’s think about the logic: Where will Wal mart get me in 25 years? Idk they might do ok…. Where will Tesla get me? If they continue, they will get you far beyond where you can imagine.
Nice, he shows the passion for his job. I will be around retirement age in 25 years. It's hard for me to think about how different life will be then if im still around. Hopefully i will have made decent choices.
When Netflix first started, they would mail you CDs. You’d watch your movies and mail them back and get more movies. This is how they started. It wasn’t streaming until later.
Thx this was a great thought proviking experiment, but I hate to say it, but it kinda feels like a mental trap on the long side. The fact that 25 years worth of hindsight doesn't immediately produce clear winners is telling, and some examples given demonstrate thebissue with the question - a LOT had changed in the past 25 years, way more than any 25yr period in the past. So, a question like this has made sense in the past, it has not been adjusted for inflation, which would shrink it from say 25 to 10-15 years based on the amount of change that has occurred. I'm also kinda new and not new to the investmemt world, new to really examining all of the inputs and outputs, vs myself in my early years when it seemed that nothing need be questioned and was led a stray either by misinformation, misplaced trust, naivety, etc. etc. The big shift came when I applied the same tools to investing to the real world as a foundation and basically questioned everything searching for fundamental ground truths that could be relied and built upon, and the biggest ones tocovercome are the biases created by these mental constructs. One example given in the video is regarding speculation, which is typically based on time. The entire market/industry/etc. is actually built on speculation, and factually we are told that past performance isn't worth a damn. PT's, reports, current share prices, the whole weighing vs voting machine is ALL speculative - don't fool yourself into thinking otherwsie. The contray to this it to hold out for the proof pudding, and we all know this will not be a successful path to take bevause you will be so late to the party you will only be left holding the bag. The speculation argument raised here, would be better framed knowing that every investment is a speculative move - where do you speculte that your money will best serve your investment needs is the question to be asking, and if a company shifts or changes focus; like Amazon, Google, Netflix, etc. Don't let the conventional idea of speculation be what holds you back - or you'll miss out dearly. Personally, I think a better approach to this question is to ask yourself why did you miss out on the obvious winners over the past 25 years, because every 'year' is an opportunity to change your thesis for a better outcome. Due to age, wealth, bias, media, upbringing, stupid blindness, egocentrism, etc. I personally missed out on Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon, Tesla, and most recently Nvidia (I was sleeping at the wheel), but thankfully I was able to learn a few lessons and caught some waves with Amazon, and have been in Tesla for nearly 10 years, recently Palantir. Long story shorter: Be VERY careful what mindset/narrative/pathway you choose to believe in as it may be the fundamental issue holding you back from the success you're seeking in the market.
In 25 years I will be age 105! Nevertheless this advice is golden- forget about talking heads on the Tesla own the company 😊own the stock for the future for your grandchildren education them and their parents not to sell these asset holdings in Tesla! 🎉
My Tesla plan is to hold as long as I can. Pull what I need when I need it and hold the rest. Hopefully I have enough so I can be rewarded with some nice money in retirement and still hold some in 2040 and beyond to pass on to my girls.

The 2040 price will likely be stupidly high, hundreds of thousands/share. I'm looking for $5-7k by 2030 and I'll park half.
You must’ve read my mind that’s exactly what I’m doing. Sell a couple of shares here and there when it goes over a certain amount per year, then take a yearly amount as the shares will still be going up in price which will outweigh the shares that I’ve sold and as it will be 99% tax free my daughter will never have to work like me when I’m gone
I do not believe in the AGI talk given what I see. ChatGPT is good to replace search and things like stack overflow. But for coding it fails to handle something novel. I was all in after autonomy day for FSD. I see the market for Optimus and the same flywheel will work there. But it does not need AGI to be hugely successful.
Thanks so much for this conversation Herbert and Simon. This really reinforces the long term thesis for Tesla and politics we’re not even mentioned. This is another huge catalyst that is being slept on for the US specifically. We have the most influential citizen on our side. So excited for 2025 and beyond.

I invested in Tesla because I couldn't invest in SpaceX. The remarkable similarity of the two (disrupting long-established markets, setting impossible engineering goals, breaking barriers by using first principle thinking, Elon) made Tesla next best opportunity. Thesis proven.

I only need about 4m to let me travel and do what I want for the rest of my life (I’m 65). TSLA only needs to hit 1050 for that to happen. I’m hoping this year or early next year.
We are not living longer. Life expectancy in USA plateaued after 2014 and then began to decline. In 2021, life expectancy dropped to 76.1 years, the lowest it's been since 1996.
I’m certain that Tesla’s next master plan update will add drone/EVTOL. As battery tech reduces the weight and increases energy density, and Tesla’s AI FSF (full self flying) evolves, Tesla will address a huge new TAM! Go Tesla!
Maybe drones/EVTOL won’t make this next update but it seems inevitable as they tick all the boxes. Tesla’s manufacturing prowess, the FSF tech, battery technology, and huge TAM.

It won't matter if its Tesla or Alset that eventually creates the robot force that renders human labor unneeded. I'm hoping TESLA makes me rich in 3 to 5 years.
At least $5k/share by 2030. If everything stays on schedule it could be twice that much. I'm out in 2030-2031 max.
How many shares do you have? And how do you define rich? I think anybody with 500 shares or more will be worth a few million in the next 3 years.
i cant believe it will be 5k a share but even 1k a share is a lot in 2030.
Hope you are all right
