The Brixton Academy show on the Screamadelica anniversary tour was probably the greatest gig I've been to - was virtually a religious experience. Up the Scream!!!
Bert Reynolds i'd have sworn it was the academy - but who knows.... it was a long weekend and an amazing show. Btw Bert - I just checked your YT channel and liked that Banco de gaia... never heard it before -will be having a look so cheers for that!
I went to two dates at Olympia 26 and 27th November that year. They might have done a warm up at Brixton I spose, but wasn't aware. Banco was a hero of mine in the 1990s. Then he disappeared, but he's back. If you want to check out his first two albums it wouldn't be a bad thing.
Yeah cheers Burt. I've been listening to his stuff for the past two days. Maya and Apollo and Big man cry...... all good stuff so cheers for putting me on to it!
Maya and Last Train to Lhasa. I have a feeling Last Train hit UK no 1 in album charts. He's a strange lad; I said hello at that comeback gig, took some pics and he's sent me his signed re-issues for use of the pics. He's been so anti-commercial, but back in the day was up there with Orbital. He played Brixton a few times, and burst an eardrum for me once.
Bwah I hate people not ravin' to this shit. Using "age" as their excuse. dat sucks, they're not even that old if u can sit at home be old 364 days a year why not dance the one u got out??
+playerred Which one is Mr Young? This band really does impress me. Can you recommend some other bands that rock like these. I am afraid that I have been stuck in a time loop, the Dead, The Allmans, country blues. I'm kind of old and decrepit none the less I would appreciate any suggestions. Regards to you and yours.
He was the guitarist back in the day, and contributed majorly to early success such as Screamadelica. Left in 2006. He's got a younger talented replacement, who does the job pretty well.
Screamadelica is a timeless record. One of the best albums in history.
i know I'm kinda randomly asking but does anyone know a good website to watch new tv shows online ?
@Zayden Colt lately I have been using FlixZone. You can find it on google :)

Very bad news, that Robert Young passes away, R.I.P.
