  • Hello everyone, my name is Duong.
    I am 32 years old.
I live in a poor mountainous area of Vietnam.
From a young age, I had to work hard to help my parents.
Difficult life is always around, I work and learn everything from my grandparents and the old people in the village.
    Gradually, I mastered the skills.
5 years ago, I decided to live the challenge.
Determined to learn about the primitive way of life, I chose to live in the wilderness, alone.
Where there's no technology and forcing yourself to pass, it feels great!
How about you? Your life is definitely different from mine.
    Have fun watching the video!

Seeing the thriving greater community you are part of gives greater perspective on your lifestyle choices.
You have built a paradisiacal and enchanting home removed from, yet not cut off from civilization. Truly, the best of both worlds.

@@theforgottengod there's always been a lot of people calling him fake, although their "evidence" is mostly just that he uses some cinematic techniques. example of that would be the shots from when he was walking to town. in reality, he had to walk ahead, set up the shot, then go back and walk with the camera filming in order to create the narrative of going to town.
but that's not faking in the sense of lying about what he's doing, and people have accused him of doing that. there used to be a lot of channels in this genre that *did* use tricks like that to lie, though. there was some group in, iirc, the Philippines who bought a huge plot of land and had a couple dozen channels churning out "primitive" content and using camera angles to avoid showing the other creators, so they could create an illusion of total independent survival. those channels got exposed about three years ago, and unfortunately, the person who did that expose thought Primitive Skills was the same. so that attracted a lot of critics who didn't really know what they were talking about. and those people still pop in every now and then to cry "FAKE".

    • @theforgottengod
      @theforgottengod Год назад

@@PanEtRosa Honestly dude its too long to read but I get What you mean . . To tell you the truth though, I have watched this guy's channel since I dont know how long and I usually forget about him like a couple of months and come back and queue his all unwatched video chronologically and binge watch it. However, there are some missing links in his videos like the one where he captured a wild hen - You cant catch a wild that easily, believe me when I say it I have tried. Even if all odds, lets say he did catch it, the first caught hen never tames and it will forever be wild, only its chicks can be tamed if you separate them from its mother otherwise it will teach its chicks to fear human. You see what I am getting at? There are a million discrepancies in his videos which I dont want to go to detail. So it is very plausible that people who have actually been to the wild or lived in a village know whats what. You probably dont get me but even though the things that he does arent actually the things that he does it is fun to watch and most of the comments I see are positive.

I unironically love that you included that Chicken knocking over the camera. Sometimes your shots are so impressive and beautiful that they're hard to believe, but shots like that ground it.
Edit. I say this, but then the shot of you returning to the farm is so strange. Did you get home in the rain, then decide you really needed that shot so set up a camera and went back out in the rain just to walk back? Do you have multiple cameras around the farm always recording? This confuses me. Please someday give us a video on how you do your camera work!

Seeing how the light blinks when you turn the motor slowly i guess it is creating an alternating current i recomend making a full bridge rectifier since half of the energy is not being used, however, this could mean the generator is creating less friction since the light is only consuming half the power but at lower water current the generator can spin slower and the flicker more obvious and annoying, maybe a capacitor to try smooth it out? But it could be expensive, however for the incandescent lightbulb the electric current direction does not matter but it takes more power to light, it depends on how strong your water source is🤷‍♂️

Oh Duong. That was so nice of you to give the seller next to you, the lady that bought the last chicken, one of the cages. You are such a good natured young man, one can tell.
I first found your channel a couple of years ago when you built the mud house. I went back and watched the rest of the videos before that one.
You were so young when you started, as a survivalist. Then you started the farm, you did everything the primitive way; forging iron tools, making fired earthen ware, making cement, tilling the land, digging your pond, cutting timbers/woods/logs/bamboos by your forged iron machete and saw, etc. I am so happy so see now that you are going into the industrial phase. Nobody deserves a little bit of machinery help more than you do! You've shown us your wonderful primitive skills, nobody has done it better than you. When we see a Primitive Skills video notification pop up on our feed, most of us can't wait to watch. We are all here for this new phase. Will you rename your channel now......maybe "Primitive Skills & More"?.....😊😊
Enjoyed every minute of these market videos.

"I met the sky" Love that! A time is coming when manufacturing won't exist anymore. At that time you want to make what was used in the UK and the US with great success until the modern light bulb was invented and employed which is what we call an Arc Lamp. They are very simple and require only a spark of electricity to get them burning and are extremely bright and can even be used for welding which means that you cannot look directly at it so must make a metal shade so that it does not damage your eyes. All you need are carbon rods from pencils or spent batteries and some basic wire and "aligator clips" or even binder clips from an office supply. Download how to make them now for use when you can no longer get lightbulbs and since they only need a very low amount of energy to get them working it would free up a lot of the electricity created by your system for other uses not to mention make lighting up the exterior of the farm for cheap! As always a great video.

Hello Duong, you mmust need a battery to stabilice teh generated current voltage, i´ve presume 12V... get a BIG Truck battery, 110 Amp/Hour aln put in parallel so you dont have variation in the light for the variable speed in your generator, Best wishes, Mac (from Buenos Aires, Argentina.
