@@svensantesson2020 Well, it was always Samsung's phone with best specs and a bit different from the S series. I liked that. They always put something different in it. I'm probably gonna buy S24 ultra just because of camera, it's time..
Same here. Mint condition ocean blue Note9. I can't think of a single feature these newer phones have that my Note9 lacks. Maybe 5G, but 4G is plenty fast enough for me and NO stupid notch or camera cutout obstructing my display!

I got my s23 ultra new from my carrier for $194 with a s22 plus trade in deal. Gotta just look at the deals out there. I refuse to pay full price for any device I purchase would rather but used but I was in a emergency and needed a phone for work.

Yeah. they can spend time wasting their day away but look at more stuff.
Rather than regular trades, I'd rather keep my phone longer than buy another one, so I end up with more phones that I can still sell, or I can install a custom ROM.
Still rocking the Note 9. I replaced the battery and installed noble rom with android 13 and one ui 5.1. That thing feels like new now. No need to upgrade to any overpriced new phone with less featueres.

Been using my note 9 since 2018 til now...i almost wanted to buy S23 Ultra, but then after just renewing my Note 9's old screen protector, my screen looks good as new and i immediately didnt feel the need to upgrade to S23 ultra....maybe will wait for 1 or 2 more generation then i might upgrade

@bigwhite21 I have mine since 2018, no screen issues at all.
The only reason why I'm thinking about buying S24 Ultra next year is the camera, otherwise Note 9 is good for next 2 years at least
@bigwhite21you probably toggled the setting than never lets the screen dim and you just forget your phone with keyboard open and a lot of brightness

remember, note 9 was flagship of older years, and can still potentially perform better than mid ranges, tho it has no chance with new flagships in terms of performance
It's not worth spending 1000 quid plus just to open or run apps a split second faster. There's no point upgrading
using note 9 from 2019. without 0 issue, just the battery getting old not phone. one of the best phone ever made from samsung
absolutely. im using iPhone from last few years .but note 9 really caught my eyes back in 2019-20 . maybe because of that navy blue colour .it was the best looking phone in 2018.

The Note9 is a legend, the last and greatest from the notch-less era. I can't overstate how stupid and unnecessary notches and camera cutouts are. The Note9 is the perfect design.

A series is a midrange. They will use chips that are more power efficient (and midrange chips too).

These tests show how absolutely useless buying new is, because despite the processors power going up by 80% or whatever, it only means tiktok or youtube loads a split second faster or you get 60fps in cod moble more consistently whereas youd get 58 consistently
they are killing note 9 due to lack of software support. otherwise note 9 would last 10plus years
The Note9 can still hold its own even by todays standards. I have the 512GB model with 8GB of RAM which should be futureproof and plus, ive experience no lag on my Note9 so its a win.
I have the 6/128 version and it's still performs well given how old it is. I can also turn it intoy wprkstation using the Dex mode.

I honestly feel like switching to a new phone is only for software and niche features nowadays. Either you want the latest android version, or the newest camera/gimmick. Phones didn’t become that much better at phone stuff.

I'm using a note 9 right now and its very old and still going strong,there is no problems with the note 9 but the screen will get yellow after a few years maybe so I have a solution to fix this quite easy no need to spend a dollar just turn always on display and while the phone is off keep tapping until you see the always on display screen and ta da oh wait I just realized I wrote and entire paragraph

I have a note9 and it kinda sucks, whenever my friend sends me an image it always comes out blury, and when I play online games on call it always lags! If you were thinking of getting a note9 I don't recommend, I recommend getting an iphone for better experience.
