Fun fact:
- Many didn't understand Aoi Todo line in her entrance, those lines are very cold and unbelievable.
Aoi Todo's line in the anime was:
"(1) The sound of the bells of Gion Shoja echoes the impermanence of all things; The color of the flowers of the teak tree declares that those who bloom must be struck down."(2) However, "we are the exception".
(These lines belong to the beginning of "Heike Monogatori", one of the most important books in Japanese literature).
The original quote and the full translated text are as follows:
"(1) The sound of the bell of Gion Shoja echoes the impermanence of all things. The color of the teak tree blossoms declares that those who flourish must be cast down. (2) Yes, the proud are only for a moment, like a night's dream in spring. The mighty are destroyed in the end, they are like dust before the wind."
But the surprising and curious thing is that everything written beyond (2) (from Aoi Todo's quote in the anime) is not present in the original text, but was added by Aoi Todo and goes completely against the spirit of the original text, not only in form but also in intent, proclaiming itself an exception to what could well be divine law.
To be better understood, the original meaning of that quote boils down to "one day, even the great will fall," but Aoi Todo alters it and adds the iconic phrase "But, we are the exception!".

Oh I love Mahito.. The voice actor is God tier. Mahito is the perfect villain. It's one that makes the viewer forget they are a fictional character. Gege is a talent.

This was such a perfect moment that we ALL needed, even when I was reading this arc in Manga form I was so fricking exhausted with all that was happening and our characters taking L after L after L, the wave of relief when I turned the page and saw Todo walking in was indescribable, yes it was hyped, but it also really gave us the feeling of a break that we all needed from this arc. Love you besto friendo.

Wow wow wow! This episode was beyond amazing. It got me so damn hype! Yelling at my TV n shit! Exactly what I wanted to happen happened, the 🐐 AOI TODO has returned!!! What a hell of an entrance and he is just what Itadori needed in this dire time. His besto friendo, his brother has come in and stoked that fire in Yuji to get up and push through, for those like Nanami. The callbacks in this episode and Yuji saying he’ll suffer in Nanami’s place were so damn good. Of course they gotta add to that and hit us with Mechamaru confessing his love to Miwa along with finally leaving for good. I hope the Kyoto students get there already and help. Nobara better be alive too dammit. Todo’s Black Flash animation was INSANE. Shit is really getting crazy now, AGAIN. And you definitely know that’s true when the ending song and credits play as the episode is still going 🤘🏽 I must also add that Nobunaga Shimazaki, Mahito’s VA, was tremendous as usual. This is definitely one my favorite episodes and further cements why love Todo. I cannot wait to see more of this epic tag team match and my favorite duo better make it out of this alright!

@@gatothkach any special grade sorcerer should be able to, if you make mahito run out of ce his ct doesnt protect him anymore so you can harm him with anything as long as it has cursed energy, also things like toji`s sword because it cuts souls but that`s just a really especial case, the inverted spear of heaven should do it too since it would nullify idle transfiguration
It’s interesting cause a lot of reactors seem to have forgotten even though it was mentioned serval times in season 1 and even just a few episodes ago.
I think a lot of people just get caught up in the action and don’t actually know what’s being said honestly 😂

I thought for sure I was gong to lose my voice when my brain finally realized it was Todo, The amount of excitement that flooded out from me was insane.
I like to think Todo gets to choose the orientation of the object that switches so he makes it easy for Yuji to see where he’s supposed to go and makes Mahito always have to turn around or some shit just adds to his genius for me. Also we don’t know where or what Todo clapped we just know he did… 😂

i feel like a lot of people ive watched were confused or surprised that Todo didn't injure Mahito with his black flash. If people remember in the first season the reason Mahito becomes specifically invested with Itadori is that because of his ability to hit twice with one hit he is able to actually injure Mahitos soul, almost no one else is able to do that. That is why when Nobura hurt him he said that Itadori was not his only natural enemy

Unlike the other curses that were created from less bad traits and those curses are the ones we sympathize with more. Tbh the curses are like humans just with their own goals. Just Like mahito says, just how it is normal for them to kill humans it is normal for humans to save others. Same meaning but different thing. That’s what mahito means by “you are me” there is also so much more meaning to that quote. Also why the episodes are called right and wrong: yuji is wrong and mahito is right. It really is a battle on who deserves to live a century from then.
