      Thank you! Yes this location had a surprising acoustic - there isn't any glass in the windows is possibly the reason for this

    The theorbo looks like it has more bass courses than what I'm used to seeing (as in many Thomas Dunford videos). But then, what do I know, I only play modern oboe (although my baroque oboe is on order).

      Interesting observation! This theorbo has eight diapason courses which is historically the most common amount. A lot of modern lute players move some of the diapasons to the short neck in order to have more chromatic notes as the longer strings can't be fretted.

      Judging by the wood's dark colour I'd wager it to most likely be ebony.

      Thank you!! It's actually made out of grenadilla wood - the flute was made by Martin Wenner in Germany, truly a lovely instrument to play on!

      Yes! It is such a beautiful song - the manuscript that Le Doux Silence comes from contains some stunning songs. We should get round to recording some of them! Thank you very much for the suggestion

    Globalement assez bien jouée, mais un son plus soutenu, notamment sur les passages en croches, aurait été bienvenu. Le son reste un peu maigre: manque évident de timbre et de chaleur dans l'ensemble ! Dans les mesures qui comportent trois noires la troisième doit être écoutée. dans celles qui se terminent par une noire, celle-ci doit être évidemment écourtée . Le passage du majeur au mineur ne doit pas être ralenti ni joué moins fort : cela reste une chaconne jusqu'à la fin !
