beautiful! I'm trying to convince ny husband to learn the lute. I think flute and guitar or lute together is so lovely. Congratulations on having wonderful duo.
I watch all my videos on a 110 inch projector screen. It was lovely to have such beautiful music so tastefully filmed. The locations and ‘costumes’ complimented the music and the camera angles changed to vary the shot without jumping around all the time. The film quality was excellent too; I assume 4k, gently lit and always in focus. You put the competition to shame.
C'est vraiment un arrangement magnifique au luth ❤ Auriez vous plus d'informations sur l'histoire, l'origine ou ce qui a inspiré Telemann à composé cette œuvre... Je ne trouve rien sur internet 😢
Thank you so much! Yes, unfortunately the history behind this sonata isn't particularly glamorous... Telemann wrote it during 1725-1740 - a period of time in which he sold many compositions which saved him from bankruptcy caused by his wife’s gambling habits! It was first published in collection of Telemann's works, "Essercizii musici".
@@flutesandfretsduo Thanks so much! You're amazing. Throwing this out - you could sell the "guitar" part as a stand-alone so we could play your part. I'd pay good money to have him as a backing track.
Thank you! This particular sonata was actually originally written for flute and continuo (no violins) so it's a fun one to try with just theorbo playing the basso continuo :)
One would think the room would be more resonant with the glass and no carpeting. Too bad, because the playing is lovely. Btw, I hope you are lovers too. ❤❤
Ah yes unfortunately the audio recorded in the room had some issues so we had to rerecord it in a different venue which wasn't as resonant... Haha we're just good friends!
Another truly first class performance.
Thank you so much Mick! We appreciate that
Beautiful; touching; masterful! Thank you Duo!

Thank you for your kind words! The lute is definitely a wonderful instrument to learn should he ever take up the challenge!

@@flutesandfretsduoalso, the beginning of the first movement is taken from the oboe solo at the beginning of J. S. Bach's Cantata 156!
Merci beaucoup c'est magnifique

Flute type and maker?
A grenadilla wood C.Palanca flute made by Martin Wenner :)

Très séduisant! Il manque quand même les violons et la Basse Continue....l
