Sewing Scissors! I found a pair of these years ago and don't recall how or where but I've been fascinated with them and had no idea what they were. I made a little friction fit sheath for them and keep them in the backpack I take to work. They have little screws you can remove the blades with for sharpening, and mine work really well. Not heavy duty but sharp, clean cuts.

Agreed, the d-ring is overkill. But perfect for repurposing elsewhere. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
