Ha! The guy commenting below me is in North Carolina. So am I! I love your note choices as well. Well done, please keep it up. I'm going to watch all of your videos - Thank you!
I like your note choices, I'll definitely be watching this over and over. I'm in North Carolina with no neighbors so I can turn up the volume without bothering anybody (except my wife).
Amazing!! I once saw Luther Allison play this live. Those were the days! John Mayall recorded a cover with Peter Green on guitar ("Looking Back" album). Thanks for this wonderful cover!!
Thanks again abrigospardos! I actually also . listened to Luther Alisons version of the song before recording it my own way. It is a very old song that has it´s roots more than 100 years ago, friendly greetings, Soeren
That was excellent Soeren! Boy, you've done quite a lot of lessons on the 8 bar blues over the years and glad you've done that or else I would have been only a I-VI-V type of guitar player. You can really hear the melody of the song the way you played it. 👍 Ed
Hi Ed thanks a lot. It is a real old blues classic, I think I read somewhere that the text is more than hundred years old! Wish you a nice weekend with a little cooler air as last time we wrote!. Actually your heatwave was in our news. friendly greetings, Soeren
@@soerenguitarlessons9947 Wow, did not know the text was that old! It's a great song I've heard before but never knew the history. Yes, it's finally cooled down to around 32 degrees celcius today and cooler for the upcoming weekend. Fortunately, I paid a small fortune ($14k USD) a year ago to have installed all new Heat Pump A/C and Heating as well as a new gas furnace so I was able to stay cool when inside the house using the A/C. Looks like weather out your way is nice and moderate with sun and some occasional rain! Best regards - Ed
@@ew6629 The last few days have been very nice in Dk. but we didn´t really have a long steady period with sun this year. The real nightmare is the winter, so when the summer is not living up to the expected, people get almost a little desperate. I plan to go to Agadir in Morocco late October and plan to stay there until a week before Christmas, and that is my "summer" with blue skies and an incredible pleasant winter climate. Good with the air con in your house, I know from Thailand and Cambodia how important it is, especially during the night, but also in general to be able to cool your house down. friendly greetings, Soeren
@@soerenguitarlessons9947 I'm glad to hear you plan to go to Morocco for a lengthy period this! I think the prior year it was a much shorter trip when you left during the winter season. Fortunately, even with heat here in California, it's typically dry heat, minimal humidity. I can't stand high humidity where your clothes get damp and stick everywhere on your body. Are you planning to maybe not upload any YT videos while you're in Morocco? I think taking a break might be a good thing to clear the mind and just enjoy the environment you're in. Ed
@@ew6629 Hi again. I think I recorded a few last year that I still have as my trip due to ear problems as you say was very short. I also have ideas for making a few talk videos, for instance about weather my solos are prepared or spontaneous , and what thoughts I have on that subject. friendly greetings, Soeren
Hi Gerry. Thanks for commenting. You would not like to hear me sing! I did sing as I was 20 and traveled the world with my acoustic guitar and mouth harp playing all kind of places. maybe the lack of voice meant that I practiced playing the solo guitar much stronger, that I would have done if I had had a great voice. anyway thanks and wish you a nice weekend, Soeren

Thanks Iamkimes! I am happy you like the video, and thanks for letting me know, friendly greetings, Soeren
Listening to this reminds me that 'Sitting on top of the World ' is a 8 bar blues.
Hi John, thanks for commenting. Both songs are very melodic and both older blues classics. friendly greetings, Soeren
