Feel free to leave the sugar out guys, but I think once you taste it you will add some lol. It was only a cup for that HUGE bowl. The lemonade and pineapple makes it a bit tart.
I like sugar (A LOT!) but added sugar may not be necessary for this punch, because the fruit juice contains a lot of natural sugar (the pineapple juice in particular). I think adding a full cup of sugar could potentially make it cloyingly sweet? I guess it is a matter of personal preference. You could always make it with no sugar to begin with, and then add some sugar to it afterwards (a little bit at a time) until it was just sweet enough for your taste.
LOLLL!! Y'all I am seriously laughing at some of these comments because I promise this sounds like a conversation at my family reunion. Always that one aunt complaining about how much sugar or salt something has, that one uncle that's always trying to add alcohol to every drink, that one aunt that's always asking who made what and if it's homemade, and that one crazy cousin that just cuss everybody out. I love you guys!
Amen! They mean well...we'll leave it at that! lol Now my grammy would of loved you! She was all about that buttermilk and cream! She drank cream not milk and she was neva without buttermilk in the kitchen. :0)
My mom does this punch, but she will freeze the whole punch and then leave it out to thaw and then break it up when it's time for the party and then you have like an icee party punch and it is just soooo good.
Thank you so much for this recipe and for the record.... I'm with you on the sugar because it's a "crowd pleaser!!!" mostly for kids and adults at a fun cookout! Not for sticks in the mud with bad teeth😂
+Brenda doublelicious01 Lol!! It's funny because every time I give someone this recipe after they request it they comment on the sugar . Yet couldn't stop drinking it at the party 😂😂 I knew folks would say this but i wanted to share this recipe because it's so daggone good.
OMG folks is really tripping about the sugar it's punch!!!! Lol I'm sure everybody has had store bought sweet tea, Kool aid, or just a regular soda and that has tons of sugar you just don't see it added in.
Wow! What A lot of yummy 😋 sweet juices!! Oh yeah gotta have the pineapple 🍍 juice and Sprite! I'm definitely going to try this 4 my daughter and son's birthday 🎂 party 🎉 at the end of the month! We surprise them with a pool party every year with their high school friends! They have a blast together ❤! Thanks for sharing!
I swear every family has this recipe LOL I think that's why I love it so much. Takes me back to all those childhood birthday parties. It would be interesting to see where it originated from.
Hey, would like to make this punch this weekend. I saw on the video that you had to 2 2Liters of sprite, but the recipe only calls for one. Is it only one 2 L of sprite?
I love everything in here but orange juice I hate it lol! I'm glad I read the comments and you said your mom used orange Kool- Aid yuuummy or maybe Tang! This will go on my easter beverage menu along with the sugar I hate tangy/sour drinks and you didn't use much. TFS!
I make spiked punches all the time and you really do need some sweetness after all is said and done. It does get very tart. I'm making this one with white overproof rum. 😊
I made this except I added rum and chopped fruit and put it in a punch bowl and served it at my birthday in July everyone LOVED it and was very drunk. They couldn’t stop complimenting me. Delicious punch this is.
Looks good. I remember these kind of punches back when I was a little kid - and like yours, the base was always Hawaiian Punch. I don't know if that much sugar was needed but you know what you're doing. What made this a favorite as a kid was when there would be very thin slices of orange, lemon, and lime - I think there was another fruit too but I cannot remember. Cheers.
Ok when I first looked at this, I thought "aw I already know this one(or one similar)..." but then you threw in the punch cubes and I was like Oh damn! LOL . Brilliant! #addvodka ;) . Cheers
I was just looking for a punch recipe and you came and save the day. Thanks! This looks good too. I guess I better go and get a very large mixing bowl. ☺
Feel free to leave the sugar out guys, but I think once you taste it you will add some lol. It was only a cup for that HUGE bowl. The lemonade and pineapple makes it a bit tart.
I think if I never taste it with sugar in the first place I would really like it without the sugar.
Divas Can Cook can you post the recipe please
would splenda be weird in this? instead of sugar?
Thanks so much I will make it without the sugar .... thanks so much

Was I the only one who thought the punch cubes were watermelon balls?
Mitchell Toft I thought the same thing lol
Mitchell Toft i thought they were strawberries lol...cute idea👍👍👍
hahaha! Hmmm....that might not be a bad idea though...frozen watermelon gets really slushy....ohhhh you done started something Mitchell!
Divas Can Cook and then you could eat the watermelon and it would be infused with the punch!
omg yesss!!!

Yesssssss!! I love your mom! lol
Ooo, I love the addition of the punch cubes. That's so smart to keep your punch nice and cold without watering it down!
Uh oh...y'all really gonna cuss me out when I post these caramel stuffed chocolate chip cookies!!
Divas Can Cook 🤣🤣🤣 right

Yes diabetics !!! I'm really trying this this week
Great for the summer.
lol my heart sunk when you added the sugar....❤
LOL you can leave it out but it really sweetened everything up beautifully!
it wasn't that much sugar added if you ask me. it's not like you'll be drinking the whole bowl.
Jess that fact that all the ingredients alone have high amounts of sugar is why the plain sugar is being lauhed about hun
Again, you're not drinking the whole bowl, HUN. Moderation is obviously key with this drink. This isn't something you drink every day.
Jess my comment wasnt serious hun it was poking fun ...a joke.... a obvious observation... lol cailm down lol
Yess fruit punch is my favorite!
Those punch cubes are such a great idea!
I am sweating right now and this looks sooo good and cold 😋
Just the right recipe for the season. Great Easter drink. Thanks!
Awesome FRUIT PUNCH
My daughters birthday is in June, thinking about making this for birthday party cook out 😁 thanks!
My fam used to have a similar punch with the ginger ale. Now it's just sangria, can sodas, or powder tea lol.
I swear every family has this recipe LOL I think that's why I love it so much. Takes me back to all those childhood birthday parties. It would be interesting to see where it originated from.
