That song that Jin keeps rapping is called “Loner” (2009) by a Korean rapper named Outsider. It’s has a lot of words and Jin is very proud of himself for knowing all the words, so he likes to show it off 🤣 Another funny video for you would be “Jin scolding BTS” where Jin basically sounds like he’s rapping again when he’s scolding the other guys

Fun fact: Outsider is the fastest rapper in S Korea. Years ago he was fast enough to qualify for a Guinness world record, but this was never made official because he doesn't rap in English (a not so fun fact that makes me rage). My fav Outsider song is called "the outsider" 💜
12:50 Namjoon pronounced this word more softly not because he knows English, but because it's supposed to be soft. It is Yoongi's solo song, very soft and romantic and he pronounced it softly too. But Jin's voice is loud naturally and his diction is always very clear, so his aggressive pronunciation is because of his own accent. Still funny, though. 🤣🤣

Having the courage to act the fool in front of everyone just to bring others joy, on tv, on stage, wherever, in an industry built on fake images, is not only endearing and lovable and hilarious but also such a great influence and role model for his younger brothers and all of ARMY of any age. A portrait in unabashed self love and shared love. Jimin says Jin taught him so much about how to be happy and enjoy life. Rapper Jin is obviously an example of that.
Jin is obviously the most funniest in the group so far. He doesn’t take himself seriously so it all a big joke because Army like it. For their BTS festa each year the rap line and vocal line will often switch roles times to times just to have fun with Army. My favourites are rap Jin and vocalist RM. Those BTS festa concert can turn into a big mess 😂😂😭😭
I've seen reactors with rap backgrounds try to dissect and destroy Jin's amazing rap skills and it 's just like you said. They're not aware that Jin is the author of the joke and putting him down just makes them look foolish. Jin's just out there, living his life and making us smile. How can you not love that?

Jin's diction is really clear. The other members have said that they could understand every word he says even he doesn't have a good rapper tone 🤣
When his veins pop out he isn't straining, it's just the way that neck vein works. You can see it in Epiphany and Awake and his funny tirades. A couple of the other members have a prominent neck vein as well, it's just Jin's mannerisms and attitude make it more noticeable more frequently.

Jin is one of the fastest rappers in the industry when he is scolding other BTS members. 😂 But his "popping popping" got me every time. 🤣
5:16 They weren't covering up the mics because of no promo, those were black covers they were using on mics that weren't their personal mics during covid. There are black and white covers you can put on mics as spit/germ protection. The mics belonged to the show so they wouldn't have to hide them because the guys don't have a mic sponsor. They do like one brand but they don't have an official brand promotion going for their mics. Their song is Outro: Tear (as in crying) but they do discuss tear (as in ripping apart) in the song.
Jin is such a lovable playful dork. He really be out here doing this stuff in an industry where you're expected to prioritize looking effortlessly cool whenever you perform things. There are tears in my eyes laughing. His adorable lil rapper bopping is too endearing. It feels like he's messing around and letting us in on the joke.
Fun fact, during the 2019 Billboard awards, BTS removed the word "naega" from their song in "Fake Love" to avoid this same issue. How thoughtful of them. 💜

외톨이 (Oetori, pronounced Wetori) by Outsider is the song Jin is "rapping" as his karaoke showpiece lol. It's pretty well known in Korea for being REALLY FAST, hence why it's Jin's favorite number to do that's not a BTS song haha.
The joke is also that when Jin gets mad, he spits SO FAST he really COULD be a rapper. When he's scolding his members, it's like the rat-tat-tat of a machine gun.

In the song Outro: Tear they use the word in two ways. RM Tear=crying tears. SUGA Tear=to rip apart. Lastly j hope Fear, the word changes. It’s easy to miss the differences first listen.

Jin is defo the biggest troll & joker of the group that's why he has his own cult called the JinCult 😂. He doesn't take himself seriously, always breaking the ice, making the younger members comfortable around him, because in the Korean age heirarchy, Jin holds a certain higher authority even if RM is the leader. However, you will see glimpses of his darker melancholic side through his songs like ABYSS. A song he made for his bday, about being burn out and maybe a certain degree of Impostor syndrome.
I think most of his solo songs show a darker sides of himself honestly. Like I Awake…Even some parts of Epiphany.

I think everyone could use some of Jin's philosophy of life - which is to enjoy life. He's a living example of someone who overcame his shyness and embrace himself by not letting his pride get in the way or holding onto regrets. His role as the oldest in the group is vital which is why the other members love and respect him, even when they test his patience ... (which is often 😁) People who start to know BTS and eventually become armies, I noticed that they themselves become more loose and transparent - not taking things too seriously and letting themselves laugh and enjoy the silly little things. 💜

4:55 Nothing to do with brands. They were on a tv show during the pandemic called New Quiz on the Block (early 2021, when vaccines weren’t available for everyone yet), so those are the show’s microphones with covers on them for protection/safety reasons. There were a lot of rules and precautions during that time, especially in Korea.
i get that but it makes no sense to cover mics if all artist have personalized mics. its also gaffers tape which holds no medical benefits. you comment makes complete sense for the time but the steps taken speak more to covering brand not safety since all have their own mics.
